Actually, I think the yanks really dig british gangsterness, no, really. They seem to love putting on a cockney accent and stuff.

I've just thought up a most brilliant idea.

The IRA.

I saw this film, with Pierce Brosnan, and a london gangster, and its hard to explain, cos I've forgotten most of it, but, it had the IRA.

Point is, I want London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. Rivalries between Jamaicans, barbadosians and whites in Brixton, larger scale rivalry between the cockneys and the IRA, and Manchester and Edinburgh thrown in for good measure because I like them...

Features I feel are "missing" from GTA:SA (some things may be in there, I'm not too far in yet)...

1. Shooting guns other the machine guns from vehicles. Why can't I fire a sawn-off when I'm on a big motorbike? Arnie can.

2. Firing forward in a car.

3. The option to lose more cash when you're arrested in order to retain your guns.

4. The ability to stash your guns at a hideout and collect them again later. I don't necessarily want to take everything with me.

5. Buying and selling stolen cars. Proper car theives do, why can't I? Same with guns.

6. Skateboards and rollerblades.

7. Getting drunk/high. There was a mission in GTA:VC where you were off your tits.. I should be able to choose to get like that.

8. Using your mobile phone to call other people. Collecting phone numbers and being able to call for back-up in a gang war would be good.

9. Being able to sell photos of stuff to a newspaper would be good.

GTA: Ireland.

One mission sees you trying to get from one town to the next without getting caught by the guards for using agri-diesel.

Or you can while away the hours listening to Jimmy Reidy 'Round the Fireside on County Sound.

Or you can don your balaclava and go about your criminal business in true IRA style.

And get drunk. Veeeeerry drunk.

Yeah, and I would agree with them... but when we suggest Moscow, they make Putingrad, when we say Tokyo, they make Miyamotoville etc.

Exactly it's all about influences and what we are familiar with - or what we can believe is real.

True Crime was awful. A city is not created to be a game world, it's created to function as a city. Why shoehorn missions and locations into a place where it just won't fit?

I'd love a game set in America 1930's - but its already been done with the suiting name of 'Mafia'. I like the idea of the Russian mafia, but i think most people know it will probably be set in America. My ideal storyline would probably be the Italian mafia, getting upto mischeif across the world - making connections with America/Central Europe/Eastern Asia. Think that would be cool, but whatever its about its gonna be ace!

How long did it take for the SA game start developement after VC?

I imagine they were straight into it, or probably had ideas before hand. Rockstar seem to plan pretty well it has to be said.

They've delivered the games at the end of October over three years so:

GTA 3 - 2001

GTA:VC - 2002

GTA: SA - 2004

It's all about freedom, I'd like to go to the toilet.

Just think, you could press all 4 shoulder buttons then O, and your character squats down and does a poo. That way, you could really disrespect people that annoy you, shit on them! (after you've killed them)

I'd also like more menial jobs, so you have more 'don't break the law' options.

I'm deadly serious about both of them by the way.

I'm fairly surprised no-one has mentioned Japan... it's small enough to be viable... admittedly most area's are sparse and countryside like, but (as I'm guessing with San Andreas) earthquakes are a factor, so could they be a factor in this (but not in a sick way... R* love the controversy remember?). Also you could have unique cars etc, the Yakuza, it would appeal to the Eastern market (San Andreas isn't even out over here yet! :D )

There are loads more things I'm sure...

Anyway, I still think that zombie game sounded pimp... gutted it got canned though.

Yeah what ^ that guy said

Tokyo is obvious. What about China/Hong Kong! Mmm a big wall for those motorbike jumps.

ITS SHENMUE BUT WITHOUT SAILORS....unless you've got a mission where you can pimp sailors?

How about creating a PC version with a very open mod system? You know, so that in no time we'd have Spider-Man Theft Auto and Godzilla Wrestling Theft Auto and Matrix Thefty Auto.

MONKEY THEFT AUTO!

I would like to see GTA New Orleans or Chicago if they want to stay in USA.

Let have a blue jazz version in GTA New Orleans. (How far it is from Memphis ? for Elvis stuff)

Sod it let have it in GTA Madrid :D

"Catch the stumpy footballers with the lightening pace" mission

GTA 4 on PS3 (or whatever) i would like to be set in Europe too. by the time the next gen equivalents of Vice City and San Andreas arrive they should be looking at recreating a whole planet.

the setting for GT4 should be modern day, so somewhere between 2006 - 2008. the two follow ups should be set in the mid to late nineties, and the early 00's respetively. this would be interesting because the series would be set in a time period where GTA games actually existed! as well as licensed soundtracks i'd like to see licensed games. not just retro titles like Pac Man, Space Invaders etc but arcade machines such as Ridge Racer, Tekken etc.

once it gets to the 'world' stage you could have governments, armies, wars, terrorists groups, elections! just think, organised crime on a global scale.

I also mentioned Japan, but cited variety as being a problem, San Andres, alot of variety between the cities, Japan, never been there, so I'm unsure.

China would be great, Honk Kong, and the other cities, they're distinct... but... its simply too big, the cities are too far away.

What about southern america, anyone?

Or, spain, italy and morroco? One city and a town from each
