Not sure if it's much help, but when I first tried to reserve it, it said No Stock, tried again, for the lols, and it had been reserved, printed off my confirmation email, and went to pick it up. Might be worth trying again if you have no luck first time.

If I get an argos copy today, then ironically it was a money making corporation that got me Halo 3 early. Not the pirates of the cyber seas. Shame on them, they've become fucking useless.

Ok, I just got this:

Your reservation number, which you must quote in-store is 041XXX

These items have been reserved at Wembley

Your reservation will be held Wednesday, 19th September 2007 - Friday, 28th September 2007

Does that mean I could get it today?

What?

Open it man! Play it! Now! Impressions! Don't just stand there!!!

"hits him on the head"

I'm back at work. 5.30pm can't come soon enough. I will provide impressions but no spoilers (at all) later. I'm currently asking Bungie whether or not I can play MP before release on a legitimate retail copy without them wielding the banhammer.

I actually went to the branch, it's the message you get when you type in the number.

"As luck would have it, if you go to the Argos website and do a reserve for store pick up on Halo 3, take the number and make your way down to your local store, you can get your hands on Halo 3 early. I know, because it's sitting here on my desk. Don't try to pay at the machine though, as it will come up as not for sale. Instead, take your number to an ordinary till and if providence smiles upon you, you will walk away with a nice shiny copy of Halo 3 a week early."

Yes. But hurry up, as they're bound to close the "collect" loophole instore soon and not honour the reservation. I was crapping myself waiting for them to get the game. SPEED!

Presumably, yes. But only if you get there before the David Brent type gets a memo.
