It's not breaking the street date. More the fact they post a couple of days early in order for the game/console to arrive on launch. Sometimes you get lucky and it arrives a day early.

Has there been discussion about difficulty? I'm wondering whether to play on normal or heroic.

Elsewhere Frankie has recommended playing on normal if you're a Halo noob, but otherwise play on heroic, for the more fulfilling experience. Unless you're playing in co-op, in which case maybe legendary.

I'm rubbish at Halos but both games are hell of boring on normal, and even if it takes me forever I'm doing Halo 3 on heroic.
