Anyway, as for Master Chief dying, I think it's been too obviously implied that he will. So I suspect that he will both die and not die. Something like his body gets killed but his mind gets uploaded to a computer or something. That would work well, actually, because the devs have suggested that there's a "love story" between MC and Cortana, and either MC turning into a computer programme or Cortana turning into a real woman is surely the only way that would work.

Didn't you realise floppy and hard drives were called that for a reason?

Talking of all this MC/Cortana lovin', I thoroughly recommend checking out last week's GFW Radio hilarious Heroes of the Web section, if you haven't done so already. It features a reading from the Bungie.net message boards on the subject of the Master Chief's virginity. The segment starts five minutes in to the podcast. I'd copy/paste the original message board postings but unfortunately the good ones have been taken down.

[geek]The firing of the rings need not be much of a problem, even without the Ark, Onyx or what have you. Surely all the Human and Sangheili fleets have to do is evacuate their planets, head to the location of the first installation and sit it out while the Covenant fire the rings and kill themselves. That entire area for thousands of light years should be 'safe', no?[/geek]

If the Chief died it'd be all a bit "Yeah, you know the guy who you just spent 30 hours making sure he didn't die? Well he's dead now and there's nothing you can do". Like the first five minutes of Alien 3.

If you don't want to speculate, why don't YOU fuck off to another thread and come back and talk about it when it's released? One Halo 3 thread is surely enough until the game is released.

Mainly because I don't want any of the story ruined and yet I still enjoy talking to people about the game?

We can only speculate about the game until the game is released. If we can't speculate about an unreleashed game, then what do we have to talk about? :P

If speculation bothers you I suggest you stay of the internet until you have played the game. Its not like we know the story of the game and talking about. Its all theories, you know?

There was many, many Halo 2 threads prior to its release. A whole folder was created for the purpose, and it's still there now.

There's plenty of stuff to talk and speculate about other than plot details. The yarr will no doubt hit soon and at that point anyone discussing the plot will need to make a separate thread really so maybe that should just be done now?

i'll be hitting the 24 hour tesco store in seacroft, leeds for my halo3 copy. walked out of there at 12.04am with halo2, i'll do it again with 3, fuck waiting.

"i would like a copy of this please!"

'oh you can't have that it's out tomorrow'

"it's tomorrow already!"

'so it is! i'll go get you a copy!'

yeah.

Order online with somewhere like Gameplay and there's a high probabiblity you will receive the game a day or two early. That's what happeed with me when I got Halo 2.
