Halo 2 deserved the 9, simply for being brilliant online.

This. Bungie should have just released it as a Live multiplayer expansion to Halo1 and then started working on the true sequel to launch with the 360.

I seem to remember GameCentral being very critical of Halo 2. I think they gave it a 7 or 8/10, but mentioned that without multiplayer, it was only worthy of a 5.

I just think going into the Halo 3 thread and just saying 'CoD 4's going to be better than this' is fairly close to trolling. If there was actually some discussion about Halo 3 involved then fair enough, but I didn't see any.

Having played the CoD4 beta for a few days it's no better than something like Rainbow Six. The aiming and feedback seems more accurate than Rainbow (once you get the red-dot scope at least) but it's still a case of you're not quite sure why you won / lost a fire-fight in far too many situations. Even the kill-cam does little to ease the situation as often you see someone has 'shot your leg a bit' whilst you were seemingly taking their face off. It's solid but really it's just another GRAW / Rainbow so if you like those you'll be hooked but it's certainly nothing new. In fact I'd say Rainbow is still king amongst these titles due to its cover system.

After listening back through the last 4 Bungie podcast's, I can't stand the wait. I've had enough information now, and i hope Bungie do NOT release anymore info. We've had enough.

If it lives up the the shit in my brain, i'm going to be playing this for months solid (with a quick diversion to Mass Effect then back again). The Co-op and Multi will keep me going, then we have Forge to mess around with and play our creations and others', THEN we have the score attack meta game, THEN we have the video playback shit.
