I preordered my copy from HMV a few months back. If anyone has dealt with them before, could you tell me whether I'm going to get it on the day of release or will I be waiting a few days, cos that would be shit.

Never order online from anyone but Gameplay or ShopTo if you want your game guaranteed to be there by the day of release.

Both for me, but the MP will of course outlive the campaign by years. The Edge and IGN previews have made me feel much more confident about the Campaign.

It just sounds so assured and confident in every way. Be great if that turns out to be true.

ok, i've pre-ordered the special edition from shopto. it's the first time i've used them and they say they'll ask for the dollar a few days before release. i know it's been said they'll deliver, but is this still the case with pre-orders?

and put me down as another looking forward to the campaign. if it's as good as halo's then i'll be more than happy. multiplayer's second on my list really, cos i'm pretty confident that's going to be spot on after playing the beta.

This is true. I was SO disappointed about the campaign in Halo 2 when it came out that I turned it off and sat crying in a dark room. Returning to it (and playing it on Heroic) proves that it really is a good game, just different (and yes a bit lacking) in comparison to the original.

You didn't play on Legendary from the first attempt did you?

I hope no one is planning to do that with Halo 3, I can only foresee massive disappointment by playing on Legendary from the off.

Have you tried turning it off and back on?
