Also: this game is too colourful now?

You guys, you guys.

Gamers whine too much, far too much. Halo was too grey, this is too colourful. Yawn.

It's not as colourful as Ratchet & Clank or Mario Galaxy so it's not colourful enough I'm afraid. This is a minor victory for the blue sky brigade but the battle ahead is long and hard.

These new screens look gorgeous. Far better than the low res trailer caps being passed around as the real thing on here earlier.

Maybe in multiplayer you get the option to steal someone's weapon from his back by holding X, just like picking up a weapon from the ground or hijacking a vehicle.

What would be the point considering from that distance you could melee for an instant kill (and immediately pick the weapon from the floor)? The weapons are visible in multi presumably just so you can see who's hoarding certain weapons?

This is getting a bit out of hand isn't it? The chief presumably has magnets mounted inside his armour plating so that he can 'holster' weapons on his back and thighs.

For the record, I wasn't being serious. I was just making a joke at how silly it looks to have floating guns attached to the Chief's body.

Although I'm sure they'll use magnets as an official line if people question the lack of a holster...

The little circle symbols on it do stuff. Downloaded a wierd WAV, played a video about the mind of the flood, and downloaded a text file with the transcript of the video.

just watched the trailer in all its HD goodness and I'd like to thank Bungie for saving me some money - it just looks too similar to whats been done before, and we're not on the old xbox anymore. I watched the Mass Effect trailer afterwards and was a lot more impressed with that.

They've been giving their impressions on Gamespot's live coverage just now. They say it looks a lot better than the beta and really pops off the screen. That and the sound design is incredible.

Supposed to be impossible to get near the demo area. Seems like Microsoft have done their job.

Bungie were very complementary about what Guerilla have pulled off with Killzone 2.

Are MS running with a hands-on demo? That would be quite the surprise.

It's playable at the show from what I can gather. The level on show is the jungle one from the screens that's about a third of the way into the game as to not give away how it starts.

Lots of security though so the riff raff isn't getting in.

Everyone I spoke to was amazed at the sound in the Beta too. I remember thinking Halo CE on the original Xbox had fabulous 5.1 but it really was something else in Halo 3.

Apparently it's all about the communication that your AI team mates are having with each other and like wise for the enemy characters. I really want to see a play through movie just to see that in action.

My girlfriend said it sounded like the music from Riverdance. Dissed!

Anyone watch the other video on the marketplace? Some really cool pseudo live action shots of factories knocking out Battle Rifles and Warthogs, and some wack cosplay-looking marines.

Seeing it really got me mourning the canning of the full-length film. -_-
