Halo 3 - now coming to Xbox One. MC Collection.

I just had 2 mid table finishes in rumble pit, no bad moments apart from a couple of "oh man I'm sure I should have got that kill" etc. I don't even like all on all slayer against randoms but it was heart pumpingly exciting, especially as I'm getting better at the controls again, well, less cack handed anyway. Supreme. I fear for my life happiness when this comes out.

Dummy glitching ie when your flag would just disappear out of your base and then was capped by the other teams seconds later was ruining skirmish and big team within weeks of release and wasent fixed untill patch 1.1. It was a massive game-breaker and worse than super jumping and flag tossing imo.

It's not a problem that could be fixed pre-release though, there's still only the through-walls glitch that I can think of that could have been.

Those sort of glitches can only be found when the game is out there for the public to play on. You can bet that Bungie are actually wanting people to cheat and find glitches in the beta so they can get them ironed out for the final release.

I'm still getting shocking games. I wish it would give the host to people with broadband connections.

This, although I think it's down to my NAT situation. I actually had a pretty lag free BTB game a few hours ago... How does that work when most 3v3 games are a lag fest...?

I had bad lag at the start of the night, which combined with my shit playin ability, saw me in the 5th and 6th rankings a lot - my lag improved and had a batch of wins. Yay!

For some reason I played a game with a whole bunch of 1 - 4 rankings on Slayer in Snowbound and I felt like a god for a few mins. They were all really bad.

My 360 is DMZ'ed so my NAT is always open. Every game practically before the Crackdown Beta went public was pretty much perfect, it must be purely the leap from 3,000 people online at once to 30,000 means that we get matched up with shonky connections, despite the 'good connection' filter. It seems a lot more pronounced than on Halo 2 which is a shame.

I hope it's something they can sort out - either tightening up the net code or improving the filter otherwise there's no point playing really.

It will get sorted out, but now how you think - it'll get sorted out the way Dead of Alive 2 got sorted on the original Xbox. After a fortnight post-release, all the people with crap connections just STOPPED PLAYING IT ONLINE. It's harsh, but it's true. After those 2 weeks, DOA2 became far better online than when it first was released.

so, when's the beta finishing now? didn't they add an extra couple of day for the mess up at the start?

just that i'll be getting my internet back from the 30th, so i'll be well up for a few games. i don't like the sound of the lag though, it really was the only thing in halo 2 that i didn't like. i can handle the shit talking, i can handle the cheats, but losing (constantly) because of the lag/latency really fucked me off.

I've always hated Bungie's host-picking system. It almost always gives someone from America or with a lesser connection the host status.

Why oh why can't they just use the old-fashioned method of making the lobby starter the host? Works fine in Vegas as well. :(

Well they are going to have a 'server browser' like most Xbox Live games... But it could still be the case that the 'server' you choose to join is only really a lobby/party and the game itself still runs on the host it thinks is the best one in the room.
