I fail to understand how that could be a good thing, surely it's better to have the choice of whatever game size you want? It's not like there's not going to be enough people playing to fill up the playlists.

Well, if it was the maximum it'd guarantee that there was actually a playlist with the optimum Halo team size available. Which hasn't been the case for the vast majority of Halo 2's lifespan. Plus, they wouldn't spend time making maps like Waterworks and Containment, so we might get more good ones.

Well I agree with you there... although haven't they already mentioned a map they're working on that's going to be bigger than any other they've made previously?

If they are, hopefully it's for a new gametype with like loads of covvie vs. humans. I doubt they will though, it lags enough at 6v6 in this new BTB playlist.

For me halo has always had a 3v3/4v4 sweetspot.

I'm not so into the big team stuff, although it can be fun on bigger maps. Is Containment the big, snowy Halo 2 one? I've had some great games on that map.

I think it's too many people to really be able to keeps tabs on what all of your team are up to all the time. It makes working as a cohesive group very difficult. And adding more players makes your own actions less consequential. Maybe other people see it differently, but I think any more than six on a team starts to dilute the experience.

Is Containment the big, snowy Halo 2 one? I've had some great games on that map.

Yep. I've had a few great games on it too, but I've had very many more crap ones.

Yep. I've had a few great games on it too, but I've had very many more crap ones.

That sums it up for me.

3v3/4v4 all the way if you want tight, involved gaming.

Yeah i had a fair few this afternoon. Got accused of standbying and the fucks gave me bad feedback, ruining my 100% rating :lol: (not that it really matters i suppose). Good of them to jump to conclusions. The fact that they were from Australia had bott all to do with the lag of course. Brought it all back to me how Halo is populated by plenty of douchebags.

Don't talk to me about lag. I was getting my ass handed to me last night because of it.

Every game seemed to have me standing there and suddenly someone would appear in front of me and I would be dead - totally sucked :lol:

Either that or the game was ranking me with people who were all levels 18 - 21 against my 11. I was getting killed quicker than I could blink.

The lag means in a shoot fest with a run towards them. They will always get the first hit in and kill me ;)

My ratio went from about 0.87 to 0.72 last night ....

just got my first Running Riot medal tonight. proper chuffed.

Just had 16 games of BTB training. 12 of which were Slayer. We got to 6/12 vetoes on six occasions but none of the other fuckers would press the final one. :lol:

*sigh* Why don't more people like skirmish gametypes?

Didn't you buy your 360 only a short while ago? Might be worth considering taking it back to the shop and telling them it freezes and rings of death etc, to convince them to give you a new one. That many freeze-ups is rather worrying.

What a *%&!!". I know I shouldn't of but I threw a spike grenade at the mongoose they had both got on and it killed em both. Then it was a battle with not the other team but them and their mates. I should of seen his name on the sniper to begin with :( Fun fun fun. I finished to find they all gave me bad feedback.

Good times! :(

New banshee is quite nice... Seems a bit more intuitive to control and gives you a nice view of Valhalla.

That's something that the HD graphics add over Halo 2. You can actually see the map and see where people are.

As typical as it sounds, it's the fucking americans* that ruin this game for me. We had to take on 2 randoms t'other night, and as soon as we started team CTF I picked up the rocket launcher and one siad "If you fuck up I'm going to rip your (something, I couldn't tell what the fuck he said, the mumbling cunt) off" I instantly went looking for the banhammer button (or kick function) but couldn't find it for love nor money. Anyroad, he quit out, leaving us with his stoned-sounding mate. We finished the game and he started with the "Wow, you suck" talk, upon which Talvalin, bless him, screamed "FUCK OFF YOU AMERICAN CUNT!" Much talk of faggotry was abound and we quit back to lobby.

* Standard Disclaimer - There are some nice americans. They just don't seem to play with us.
