I've not had chance to play myself yet but checked my sons stats

Combat Stats

Games: 19

Last Played: 5/17/2007 11:41:40 AM

* Total Kills: 77

* Total Deaths: 151

* Kill/Death Ratio: 0.5099

* Total Assists: 45

Not bad for a nearly 11 yr old I think so anyway.

he'll soon get the hang of it and destroy us all... kids learn far too quickly these days for my liking, particularly on games :lol:

I've had about 5 matches and they were great. Only problem is the game has been searching for the last 10 / 15 mins with the ' obtaining info from xbox live' so I gave up. Its a bit hit and miss actually getting a game thats for sure. Not suprised though, giving its a beta and the problems we had at the start with the download etc.

Good fun.

Only problem: I'm on a strict NAT which means lots of lag and ages trying to find a game... which is annoying as my Uni network is utter shite. Traffic shaping wankers.

That Covie combine though, bleeding powerful.

Certainly worth a download, by any means.

I'm having a very odd glitch at the mo.

Loading up the Beta brings up a dark blue screen with nothing on it, then pressing A takes me through to the Main Menu... which has the orange menu highlighting... without the menu :D

In other words, the bit that says 'Play The Beta' isn't there... though it will still let me move the selection bar up and down like it was. :D

Note : A rare bug has been discovered that sometimes results in improper text display in the game UI. Basically, you won't see any text at all. If you encounter this issue, you can fix it yourself by doing the following:

Restart your Xbox 360

Boot up the Halo 3 Beta

While the Halo 3 Beta is loading, immediately press up on the D-Pad and hold the A button until you see the Bungie logo. If you perform this correctly a dialog box will appear confirming maintenance has been done to your system.

Resume the Halo 3 Beta!

The laser is fantastic, it's piss easy to use but I don't seem to be getting shot by it much so that's alright.

great weapon, downside, you need to charge shot it. I am liking the trip mine, i double killed before with it and got a bonus kill from beyond the grave at the same time

My 360 is on the way out by the looks of things. Everytime I hit the guide it freezes the console indefinitely. So I'm steering clear and can't check anyones messages etc right now.

Mine's been doing that tonight too. I think it must be an overloaded Live system as it seems to be connected to sending or receiving messages. Yet I managed to play two hours of co-op Crackdown without a hitch, so I don't think your system or mine is on the way out just yet.

Does any one in the networking business know how much it could cost for a network of servers that allow for over a million simultaneous connections?

Out of interest, does anyone know the max number of simultaneous players on Halo 2 at any one time? I wouldn't have thought it would be anywhere near 1,000,000. Did it ever surpass Counter-Strike?
