Hi all,

looks like someone beat me to the punch!

EGC II will have three events:

Halo 2:

Individual Tournament

Team Tournament ( 4 vs 4) :rolleyes:

Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (Playstation 2)

Individual EGC World Cup Tournament

Stiff_one, I appreciate you thought the last event was expensive but if you ask anyone that attended, you will see they got fantastic value for money. Just take a look at http://www.the-egc.com/egc1/press.htm also next 2 months official Xbox Magazines (Issue 35 On sale october 7th / Issue 36 On Sale November 4th) will have a feature articles and footage from the tournament on the game disc.

However we aim to please, EGC II WILL be cheaper due to increased sponsorship deals including:

Official Xbox Magazine

Maddox Energy Drink (providing FREE lunch for everyone)

Altec Lansing

Konami

Were actually hoping to launch the ticket sales on site in the next few days, hence I was holding off posting.

Ill give you guys the final details in a few days...

Yeah, it costs more than going round your mates to a LAN party, but so do most things these days. And if you haven't got the impetus to spend 20-odd quid to prove you're the best at something, then you ain't gonna have the drive to actually be the best... :)

Personally I thought a days worth of Halo, combined with lunch and a pretty well-structured tournament was worth the outlay...and if there have been improvements and a lower price then I'll be booking my ticket now.

As long as I don't get owned by a 14-year-old again.... :)

Not if they charge a ridiculous amount to enter again, thus putting off the "real" best players, oh and only having teams of 2.

<pop psychology>But, if you really are the best, surely you can put your money where your mouth is, safe in the knowledge you'll be walking away with all that lovely prize money...</pop psychology>

I'm definately going, my brothers best friend went last time and he loved it!!! even though he didnt get that far :rolleyes::P

He also told me that he received an e-mail from the organisers telling him that the tickets should be on sale from tomorrow evening :D

I usually dont believe people until i witness things myself, but he's a sound guy so i believe him!!! but if anyone else went, let me know what you thought!!!???

i'll be purchasing my ticket first thing when they come out, he goes you get a discount the earlier you buy them, and if its half as good as last time then i know i'm gonna have a Blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B)

Guys tickets go on sale from 8pm tonight. We have worked amazingly hard to secure a number of sponsors as so far we have:

Now much are the tickets?

Teams will be 4 players this time as detailed earlier. Advance Tickets will start from just £12 for a spectator ticket and £20 for Tournament Entry.

All tickets include Free Buffet Lunch (sponsored by Maddox Energy Drink)

And will PES4 be included in the discount?

I figure I need all the help i can get to maybe get through a first round somehow...

It maybe easier to read http://www.the-egc.com once its all uploaded at 8pm, but ill try to make some sense:

If theres just one of you, the £20 discounted ticket will let you into:

PES4 Playstation 2 Individual tournament or Halo 2 Individual tournament.

If you have a team of 4, the £80 discounted ticket will let 4 of you into

Halo 2 Individual tournament & the Halo 2 team tournament (so you effectively get into two tournaments for the price of one - same as last EGC I)

I guess its upto you to pick your game ;)

All tickets include a free lunch - similar menu as EGC I (with even more pizza) and access to Free Play stations.

Well there were quite a few pretty damn good xbox connect players last time, including a decent lot from France. From what I gather team ninja is good and may well win but I don't think they'd "smash" them.

It's not just their skill though, tactics play a biiiig part. Maybe not smash, but they have a nasty habit of regrouping when you think you're gonna win :(
