I Listen To The Best Music

Lovelyman

Recommended Posts

Ok, I love ANY music that is adventurous, aggressive, chilled out, beautiful and gorgeous. I have tried listening to loads and loads of music lately and there has been notihing that has made me sit up and notice.

Please recommend me some music that involves the listener on some emotional level, not some contrived or stupid level thanks. The album I love best will win the chance to review new games or something.

either/or isn't Elliott's best, though. That honour goes to his self-titled sophomore record. But everything he wrote was beautiful, really. Some more Elliott recommendations: The Biggest Lie, Southern Belle, Good To Go, Son of Sam, I Better Be Quiet Now, Miss Misery, Needle In The Hay, Waltz #2 (Xo), No Name #3, Pitseleh, Somebody That I Used To Know, Say Yes, Roman Candle.

I was MAD into that guy for years.

Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

Probably the only album I have to listen to at least once every few days or something just doesn't feel right. It's one of those albums that sounds alright until about the third listen all the way through, when everything clicks, so whatever you do don't listen to any previews! It's hard to describe what makes it so good to someone that hasn't heard it because it's really about the connection you make with, Mangum, the vocalist, while listening to it. The honesty and child like sense of wonder in the lyrics and the passion with which they're sung are a big part of it, but there's more... It is, without doubt, my favourite album that I won lyrically, and from what you say in your original post, moreover because you're a Tool fan (and no I have no idea how to explain that connection), should be exactly what you're looking for.

Anyway, you can get it here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...2114442-9523020

Got the little thoughts ltd edition sky blue 7". mmm

nice. btw where did you get it from? I don't 'buy' much music y'see but wanted some of their stuff and don't know where to look. bit of a music-buying noob am I...

possibly-uninteresting fact: a girl on my uni course is going out with russell the guitarist in BP, and she does all the artwork for their releases.
