Burnout 3

Fuck this is terrible!

It's crashed on me five times now (once on my HDD yarr, 4 times on my real copy, all in the past two hours).

I've only played one game, and that kicked me out straight after it finished. Haven't been able to join JPR or Lazychus games, because the server is unknown apparently. :D

Fucking shit.

Rented it, been playing it yesterday and today.

Driving games have never been my thing. I dunno but it got old real fast for me. Just like the previous burnout 2.

I do however like the old controls from burnout 2, they seem more forgiving than burnout 3 to me.

The graphics are beautiful. The game is very polished and its obvious alot of work and love went into it. Same goes for the sound effects. As for EA trax, you love it or hate it. Doesn't bug me much.

Eh, it's not my type of game. Glad to see everyone who was looking forward to this game is enjoying it.

BTW, had no crashes offline or online and I have a xbox with an samsung head. I suspect those of you having crashes probably have a old thompsons or phillips drive.

I've been playing about 5 hours now and am seriously loving this! :(

15% through, completed 24 events, all gold so far.

I must admit I havent spent much time revisiting the crash junctions yet but i'm sure I will, road rage is far too fun and I find myself replaying them loads just to see if I can get a stupid number of takedowns, its insane :D

I watched a mate play for a while last night and you really cant appreciate the visual flare unless youre watching rather than playing, it truly is amazing to watch. I hate most of the music which is the only downside for me, but I guess it fiots well with the style of the game so i'll put up with it.

So yet, I think its amazing, and I havent even touched Live or multiplayer with mates yet :D

:D

This is my only real negative point with the game...

Whilst the game is in full motion and you are speeding along like shit off a shovel it looks great. However, slow down or stop completely and you'll discover that they are average at best. Thankfully 90% of the time you are doing the former so it's of little consequence.

Personally I much prefer Outrun 2 in this respect. Sega & Sumo deliver lovely crisp, vibrant and detailed trackside locals.

Wow. Started playing this yesterday and didn't stop till 3am. Even a non-gaming mate and my missus think it's excellent. Unbelievable. I just had to lure them in with the superb, fun for everyone, Crash mode, and now my other half is shouting things like "Psyche-Out!!!" during the proper racing!

OOI - Which view do you lot play with? Bumper Cam or Outside view?

I find bumper cam great for a speed sensation but you lose some of the cool effects like sparks.

Outside for dealing with rivals, bumper for general driving when I'm out in front or way behind.

I have a Western Digital hard drive.

He's talking about the DVD drive.

Mine's a Thompson and the game's only crashed one offline - and that was running from the HD.

It was a lot better online earlier this evening too for the games I was in.

*crosses fingers*

I'm the same. I'd prefer to say 'in-car' all the time but getting slammed into can be a 'mare.

Be better if a view function was mapped to the right-analog stick enabling you to see to the left and right of the car.

Hoo fucking ray.

Finally got my copy. Been on the thing for 7 hours non-stop and i've not even gone to Europe yet (i don't want to spoil it now - so i'll just cane America first).

Its all rather addictive, eh?

And its even got a demo of NFS : 2 - sho we can see how shit EA's canadian programming team is.
