well, i checked out the ngage roadshow today, currently touring the uk at the moment and got the chance to play on upcoming ngage releases.

ghost recon jungle storm- excellent 1st person shooter with 3d graphics the gba could only ever dream of. this really is the most technically impressive ngage title ive seen to date, and it was great fun in 8 player bluetooth!

virtua cop- seems close to the saturn version, its fun to pick up and play, but im still baffled why sega chose to release it of all games on a handheld!

pathway to glory-nokias attempt at a strategy war game looks very promising, i was handed a free demo so will play it more at home. bluetooth and ngage arena multiplayer

pocket kingdom- segas big ngage title looks really really good, but i didnt have a bloomin clue how to play it and nor did the reps! apparently they only recieved it today!

operation shadow- another excellent 3d shooter, bluetooth multiplayer was great fun, and you could even use vehicles like tanks, jeeps etc.

the way nokia had their show setup was great, and a lot of interest was shown from the public, especially ghost recon, which i found hard to get on any of the 8 machines as they were nearly always in use!

Ive been playing Crash Team Racing, its actually really good, nice 3D graphics that wouldnt look a miss on a psx. Handels well too, only problem i had was the camera angel, but not too much of a problem.

bomberman is alright as well, but just doesnt feel as fast and good as the mega drive/snes versions, spiderman 2 is pretty alright, not brilliant but nice enough.

Still gotta try out tiger woods and ghost recon.

I'm really looking forward to Pocket Kingdoms. Not much else interests me. There's too many conversions of games that work much better on other formats. I think developers should be trying to use the phone aspect of the machine more.

so you can gush like a fanboy but noone else is allowed to post some sense?

sorry, but i dont see the "sense" in saying the games sound utterly shit. the sense would be to ACTUALLY PLAY the games and THEN give your opinion like i have done.

*also leaves*

You're completely right of course.

I mean, why on earth would anyone think that a lightgun game wouldn't work on a d-pad only handheld?

I downloaded the Pathways to Glory demo last night, I really enjoyed it. It might actually be worth buying when it comes out.

The Ghost Recon beta has been doing the rounds in the usual places and it is technically very impressive. A little difficult to control on the handheld but certainly the best looking FPS on any handheld I've seen so far.

But yeah, Nokia doesn't stand a chance when the new handhelds come out but I've had more than my money's worth from the N-Gage. I'm addicted to Yahtzee at the moment - KILLER APP! ;)

I'm not even looking forward to Pocket Kingdoms myself. Who thought that making a MMORPG as a side-scrolling 2D effort would be a good idea?

Ragnarok Online wasn't the worst thing in the world... mind you, it wasn't the best either

Pocket Kingdom looked pretty neat of you ask me, but not enough to invest in an Ngage... really, the release of the QD was an admirable submission on Nokias behalf, but it stands to become even more marginalised by the DS and PSP as time goes by.
