Late 80s

The 3d looked superb it bit like the holographic image R2-D2 projected of the chess board in star-wars. The game was shit though.

Why wasnt this technology carried forward it would have been superb by now.

What was it called? Is it emulated?

Yes I remember playing it, think it had something vaguely to do with time travel or something.

EDIT: Yes, called "Timetraveller", it's listed on klov here http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=10124

I do remember some very strange things about it like it would repeat sections again and again and again - speeding up. Maybe this was part of the time travel thing shifting about very quickly.

Seems a bit pointless to emulate really, the fun of it was the little holographic display - which really did look quite good

its actually on region2 dvd too, we had one traded in at our place, i too remember playin it in the arcade, however i quick blast on the dvd version confirmed its crapness! a similar game by sega called holloseum, a beat em up is emulated in mame.
