Dinosaurs

I remember reading that Bungie intended to populate the original Halo with wildlife, and I'm sure that dinosaurs of some sort had a mention. Wouldn't that be ace, if you entered a new level and dinosaurs were grazing or drinking from a pool, and you were able to startle them creating a mass stampede towards the Cov?

Do we know if they'll be introduced in Halo 2?

Yeah they were in the Mac World (?) presentaion a good few years back I think. It would be superb if there were wildlife of some sort. The only things in Halo were the little sea creatures on SC weren't they?

Though where did the Flood stand in that regard? Did they eat everything?

Cool to sea some animals on Earth.

Sounds like a Turok rip-off ;)

Have you not seen the early videos of the game? Dig 'em out if you haven't. An interesting watch. The 'wildlife' were well implemented and just roaming the levels. Looked cool I thought.

I doubt they'll be in Halo2, it certainly would've made more sense when Halo was originally intended to be an RTS game as a lot of titles in that genre use wildlife ( such as the odd beasts roaming about in Starcraft ), but otherwise wildlife in an FPS is almost unheard of.

Certainly would be interesting though!

Go and look! ;)

In the videos I've seen there implemented in the FPS build, after being an RTS. Probably why they were eventually taken out though, yeah.
