I have set-up another tournament. It's the same format as last time:

- Five rounds (Rally, Ice Racing, Hill Climb, Down Hill and Rally Cross)

- One week for each round. Race as many times as you want and the fastest time gets logged

- It has been set-up to start this Friday with 16 players

Competition name: RLLMUK 2

Password: 88529870

URL: Join Competition

If anyone has any questions, please let me know and may the best man win.

Cheers.

Andy

Okay, we got the 16 people required so I have started the competition a day early.

Just a reminder:

Competition name: RLLMUK 2

Password: 88529870

1st Round setting: UK13

In order to provide an incentive to play all the rounds, the overall winner will win a game of their choice (within reason, I am not buying Radiant Silvergun from eBay).

Enjoy.

Andy

The track is growing on me the more I race it.

The first section through the village you have to be ultra precise, not much chance to gain time but you can lose loads by clipping the kerbs/lamp posts.

The other section that is tricky is towards the end when it switches to gravel. Trying to slow down enough to make it round the hairpins without flying through the trees is quite a challenge.

I love the high speed bits though, there is one bit where you're hammering along and there's a three left with a tree on the inside obscuring the view. You can just throw the car in and slide through flat out with the wheels just touching the grass on the exit as you power on towards the next hairpin bend. Top stuff.

Also, while trying out a new line for getting onto the big bridge quickly, I managed to jump the wall and fly off the edge. It's a LONG way down to the ground from there I can tell you! ;)

4:18.something to beat now guys.

;) I'd never beat that - I think I'll just try to warn off 2nd place instead. Agreed tho - good course, but actually a bit of a fucker really :( You must of gone cross eyed Jonny to play that course for more than 3 hours!!

Never say never, there is a full week to go yet! It's just practise, first make sure you can do the track without crashing, then just gradually brake less and less for the corners. :(

I think the three hours on the xsn site is the total time for all the completed runs in this and the previous rallisport tourney. I certainley heven't spent 3 hours on this track, yet...

Edit: Use the Accent. Ignore the stats, it's quicker on tarmac by quite a bit.

I've managed to crack the first half of the track now... I can pretty much hammer through that perfectly, but towards the end when approaching the gravel section I just seem to lose it. I've certainly got another 5 seconds in me - I just need to marry a good run in the closing stages with one of my fast runs on the first half.

It's a great track to race on though - a lot of fun, and very challenging. If anyone's up for some "proper" online racing tomorrow night, the wife's out so I can get a few hours in.

What times are you getting at the first split?

Just been out again and done a 1:17.010

I ran a bit wide on the final gravel hairpin bend and ended up on the grass. There is a little more time to come, not much though. I think low 1:16's are possible
