When the hell did that come out in the flicks? Or is it a Yarr version? Oh, and if it's a screener, pm me the link kthxbye ;)

It a top quality "yaaaaaaaaar" Version, and I really liked it.

Kinda like a cross between Dune and Pitch Black 1.

Good sfx (except for the dogs in the prison)

It's not a load of toss, it's a ridiculous sci fi film that dares to be a deeply unfashionable cross of dune and warhammer 40k and manages to avoid being bollocks. I enjoyed the bizzare visual style and nonsensical plot. Big Vin is perfect as Riddick and the ending is refreshingly strange.

I have just seen this and have to say 'Great Summer Blockbuster'. Stupidly macho, an overblown plot and all the money spent on special FX rather than star power adds up to Vin reprising his greatest role [after Carpazzo[sp?] from Saving Private Ryan which obviously he couldn't reprise] and kicking some major action movie ass.

So it's AS GOOD AS Ghosts Of Mars you say...

Enjoyed the first film. Enjoyed the game. Looking forward to the second film. Think The character Riddick is great. A perfect anti-hero.

The Game is bloody excellent by the way.

I like the way they have turned this into a multi format saga. Was Riddick a character in a comic book? he does have that certain comic book feel.

People who think this is shit have no soul. :D

Like conan, dune, flash gordon, star wars, warhammer 40k and a dodgy arnie actioner all rolled into one gloriously OTT package.

Great great stuff, the proles might not be able to suspend disbelief enough to enjoy the slightly more modernistic gene wolfe/michael moorcockish sci fi on offer but i'm sure most of us geeks will.

Loved it! 2 big thumbs up.

I saw it at the cinema last night and it was indeed shite. So many "wtf is going on" moments.

Hilarious dialogue though. "KEEP MOOOOVING!"

Riddick-ulous. Oh, I kill me.

It was a semi-entertaining 2 hours, mainly because everyone in the cinema was laughing at the stupidness of it - but I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

Er, surely you mean his greatest role after the Iron Giant?
