try these:

NWO - Ministry - I love anger

A Warm Place - nin - I love beautiful suffering

Davidian - Machine Head - I love hatred

there are a thousand more songs like these, many by Pantera, Children Of Bodom, etc etc but these three are the easiest and had an immediate effect the first time I heard them

The Specials - Ghost Town, I grew up near Coventry and I have never heard a song that so perfectly captures the spirit of a place and time since.

The Jam - Going Underground, still one of my top ten songs ever

Eric B and Rakim - Paid In Full, the first proper hip hop record I ever bought

Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. From the minute I heard that opening riff, I knew I was listening to something special.

David Lee Roth - Just Like Paradise. One of the best summer songs ever.

AC/DC - Highway To Hell. Another Riff-tastic stomper.

Snow Brigade and/or Am I Wry? by Mew. Thanks again, Jumble Jumble!

Hmmmm 156 as well surely!

(although the initial guitar line on Am I wry is just most addictive thing ever)

And anyway recently

We Used to be Friends - Dandy warhols

Somewhere only we know - Keane

A Stain to Never Fade - Easyworld

Gender Bombs - The Stills

Mmm....Skyscraper I Love You by Underworld, heard it in my mates car. Thought it sounded interesting, so asked him to turn it up. I loved every minute of it, so got the 12" the following Saturday.

Actually, Tongue by the same band is another one that instantly endeared itself.
