Zombie movies

Can anyone remember a film from the 80s that involved a group of teens in a typical white van that goes off the road into a woods and they find a hut that leads into a massive underground lair of horrors including mummified zombies and such? I saw it when I was about 9 and my older brother and sister hired it out of the video shop.

Really, really bad movie.

Zombie and Zombie Flesh Eaters are the same film. It gets confusing because there is also known as Zombi 2. Then there is also ZFE 2 and 3 which are unrelated and Zombie 3 which god knows what that is.

But the film with the underwater Shark and Zombie battle is known as Zombie in the US (as on that cover), Zombi 2 in Italy, and Zombie Flesh Eaters in the UK. And it ISN'T scary in the slightest - It is rare for a Zombie film to be scary. It is a good laugh and full of action.

I have been known to be wrong at times. I won't deny that.

Hey, did you check out the videos and sounds? That theme is the awesomest!

You sir have only 3 posts to your name, and 1 of them was to answer a riddle I have been trying to solve for 8 years! A legend in our midst. That looks to be the film.

No worries mate - you can have my copy on dvd if you want, it's such a load of shite!

I wish I could offer you a shite alternative to swap for! I wouldn't mind seeing it I must admit, I was going to wait for a £3 sale at hmv

Oh I wouldn't dream of asking for anything in return for such a quality piece of entertainment :D - PM me an address to send it to & it's yours. Don't thank me 'till you've watched it though!

the "ultimate edition" of fulci's "zombie / zombi2 / zombie flesh eaters" (all of its western iterations BTW) is coming out in the US very soon - mine is already preordered, which means i'll probably be selling my original US uncut version of "zombie" damn soon..

and its only $14 !!

and then there's the triple disc dawn of the dead DVD... :(

and romero has announced there's gonna be very little CG in the next part of the soon to be filmed "dead" series..

and the zombies DON'T RUN!!!! wooooooo-hooo!!! :(

ahh tis a fine year for the undead :o

for anyone interested in the music of fabio frizzi and goblin (the two main contributors of italian horror soundtracks) I have an LP coming out soon on my own label, it features electronic cover versions of zombie, the beyond (both recorded by me) and various other underground european electro/electronica/neo disco acts (legowelt, orgue electronique, it & my computer and more) covering such themes as deep red, assault on precinct 13, the exterminator, nights of terror, suspiria, halloween, the thing.. and loads more!!

out in a few weeks / months!!

What a class idea! Keep me informed on that lp dude. The suspiria theme track is one of the greatest film soundtracks in living memory IMO.

I can't believe for years I was into typical american horrors and classic british camp dracula horrors and yet there is all this backlog of Italian and Asian goodness 100 times better.

BTW - Did you order that DVD from Amazon USA? The release date is still wavey isn't it? Do you get Import Tax on an order so low? There is another Zombi 2 DVD coming out soon and I am undecided between the 2 on which one to get...
