10pm is usual.

Can play Domination. Its a bit naff with bots though coz they're utterly shit at it. Probably not worth it unless theres at least 6 human players.

I'll see if I can drum up some more players from the Jolt IRC channel when we start playing..

my bloody mate just got NWN so we are running through a few campaigns. Unfortunately he hates FPS and lives in California so no chance of playing UT with him on the same servers :/

I wish I had a friend that would play Neverwinter Nights with me online ;) I also wish that Neverwinter Nights had some big and interesting campaigns online

just played some on the clan server. my ping is mental though - are there any ports i've got to open on my router?

I think it only uses one port during the game. The server browser can use up to 40 (10 by default).

Try logging on to the EdgeServer (ut2004://195.149.21.109:7900 password:rllmuk) and see what your ping is like there. It should be very low. I usually get about 30 - 40.

The server fills up to 4 places with bots on 'skilled' difficulty level.

If your ping is intermitant like that I'd suggest you're running a background process thats connecting to the internet occasionally thats a bit of a connection hog..

I found it odd that i was winning by miles and then i twigged :wacko:

i've got loads of stuff running in the background, always do. if i play some peeps i'll turn em off.

Hey I'd be up for that. It was good fun last time. And I've had some practice, except. I'm lying about getting practice.

My efforts ended in failure. Tried to beat 1 player on experienced but ground to halt after some time. So I downgraded to average, tried again, and was getting even less distance.

So you can all be fascinated as my skills de-evolve in front of your eyes. My guess I'll be reduced to drooling and occasionally typing LOL, OMG and other internet hilarities.

It was great fun, despite the game telling me I was permanently banned for trying to alter my key config.

Luckily it was only joking.

And conversely it can be one disheartening game. Two weeks heavy play and still quite embarressed by a lot of my game playing.

How much have you guys practiced 2003/2004? I must be at about 40/50 hours.

EDIT: Christ, that server really does record everything. Impressive stuff onion!

Personally I did not play 2003 for more than hour or two. My PC FPS playing actually ended about 3 or 4 years ago! I 'retired' after getting hooked on Quake 3 and now I am back to square one. :(

Back in the day I was an advocate of using the cursor keys but now I am trying to use the WSAD keys instead. Lots of wrong key pressing including T instead of E to enter vehicles. :P

Yeah I need to change the controls. I kept pressing a button last night that brought up a chat thing, or the console, I wasn't sure which. Whatever it was it stopped me from being able to run until I pressed ESC.
