The Manga is probably one of my favourite things I have ever read and it’s not even the best thing Naoki Urasawa has done.

Wouldn’t have even occurred to me to read the manga but I will add to my list now (and other stuff the author has done, is there anything else you recommend?).

This is probably coming from a place of ignorance (as I am not a huge anime person) but I would say that Monster is not just great anime but great TV full stop.

Read everything he has ever made but 20th Century Boys is generally regarded as his greatest work.

Asadora is his current on-going Manga and that’s been really good so far as well

New series of Dr Stone has started, it’s great if anyone hasn’t watched it yet. Kind of a survival manga meets science textbook thing.

Also watched the first two episodes of Hell’s Paradise, which seem really promising. Fun premise, gorgeous visuals and efficient storytelling. Check out the OP for a taste of the style:

I saw it on the big screen just now. Incredible!

And Weathering With You has been on my watch list for years, it's time I finally get around to that. Gonna borrow the blu ray from a colleague :D

I wish they were doing a slightly later showing of Suzume, the latest start is 7pm which is a little difficult for me to get to

Just watched Suzume (subtitled, obv.). Great film – go and see it! It’s made with all the heart and artistry the best of these films are made with.

Non-plot spoiler, sort of games adjacent…

Spoiler

I liked how Tomoya listened to a song from Penguin’s Memories Shiawase Monogatari in his car.740A4288-6F5A-40C5-B5CE-F00BA3F40CCC.thumb.jpeg.41115532d19f9c8ea92600ba07eb4ec1.jpeg

As a fan of slice-of-life Ghibli moments, Suzume was a great watch. I went in knowing absolutely nothing, and have not seen the directors previous films. I have some very small misgivings but I loved the journey and experience.

It was also great to finally see an anime in a proper cinema setting.

Just watched S3E1 of Demon Slayer, ark set-up felt a little contrived, loved the Demon stuff at the beginning but man - the ending just spoils everything for the season, why do they do that?

Still I'm sure it's going to be an amazing season and I'm looking forward to watching more.
