Just been watching a new Netflix series called Vampire in the Garden. It's actually pretty good. Visually great, and only five episodes long so not a bad way to spend an evening. I'm not sure it's ultimately really about anything, but was diverting enough.

Everyone should watch Ya Boy Kongming!

It’s about a Chinese general who is reincarnated in modern Japan and becomes the manager of a club singer, using his Military strategies as her manager and it’s just fantastic.

Shield Hero was one of my fav series after the first season aired and I was so excited when they announced another season but man it's been a struggle to get through. I read the manga several years ago so had an idea about how poor the turttle section would be but eesh it was a rough ride. Even the author said its not a very good arc and by episode 5 i was close to dropping the whole show. Luckily I pressed on as once they cleared that gumf it's just got so much better each week. Last nights ep was a bit of a tear jerker at tne end and I'm well on for more eps. Just a shame its finishing at 12 when there's loads of the story to cover.

Been a bit of a down season but one show that's really stood out to me is Trapped in a Dating Sim. Typical Isekai but this time the guy is just a side character and is a complete knob to the main protagonists as he hates them with a passion. Hilarious some of the dirty tricks he plays on them and its fast become my fav show this season.

So Bastard has a series now, anyone watched this and if its any good. Remember watching the ova at Uni after finishing Berserk anime. Great times.

I've not but noticed it today so it's on the list after Spriggan.

The new Spriggan is worth a watch I watched first episode and enjoyed it.

Yeah remember reading the manga Spriggan from the UK Manga Mania. Then watched the OVA directed by Akira director himself Otomo which looks insane. I was going to watch Spriggan but I admit besides from Spy X Spy I hardly watch any anime nowday unless highly recommended.

Just watched the Made in Abyss movie before the new season starts. Damn, some brutal stuff in there. I'd kind of forgotten the show could be a bit like that too, but the movie is probably even moreso. And I can't believe it's been 5 years already since the first season.

Dragon Ball Super is coming back.

Yep!

I'm probably a minority here on the forum, but that was great news for me, as the Manga has had some decent arcs since it finished, and I can't wait to see them animated.

Currently watching SpyXFamily and The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer adaptation that just hit Amazon Prime in Japan. It's been about ten years since I read the latter series, so I may have to remind myself of what happens before attempting to decipher what's going on without the benefit of even Japanese subtitles.

Wow, they finally adapted Bicuit Hammer, huh? I remember when it used to regularly appear on "upcoming series" charts as a joke, complete with The Pillows doing the soundtrack.

I also didn't realise it was a heavy inspiration for Squid Game.

Only this is much better.

If you like Kaiji then there's a spin-off called Mr. Tonegawa: Middle Management Blues. It's a more of a chilled experience; Comedy/Slice of Life but it's a fun little series that gives you an alternative view on events from one of the guys that organised it.

Akagi (written by the same dude) is possibly the closest you'll get to Kaiji and it's really damn good but I'd really suggest getting your head around the basics of Mahjong before watching it.

Akagi is great, I started watching this when I saw it was the same origin. And yeah, knowing Mahjong definitely helps for that series. I think it's probably better than Kaiji but this so far feels more straightforward.

I remember watching Animal World a while ago and enjoying it which is a live action version of it.

I was glad to see the second series of "The Devil's A Part-timer" starting this week!

Between that and the prologue for the next Gundam series, it's been a good week for new anime for me.

I can't remember who in here recommended The Devil to me, but I am grateful it's good fun!
