I just watched the first two episodes of Basquash. I really liked the setting. That vibrant mix of new tech and rundown architecture reminded me of Beyond Good & Evil or some of Imperial Boy's artwork. I couldn't stand the central character though. He's a charmless fuckwit. Not even his caring attitude towards his disabled sister was enough to make me sympathize with him in any way. The other characters weren't that interesting either. Maybe that'll change as the series progresses but I'm not going to persevere with it.

Yep, saw that a while back - posted on Sankaku Complex. It'll be great once it's done.

I've actually seen the other 1:1 scale Gundam, the one they have at FujiQ Highland Amusement Park. It's inside a mock hangar, and "set" during the battle of Solomon.

where exactly is that gundam they're mocking up? i only ask as i'll be in Tokyo for a few days and if it's anywhere near where i'm going to be i might pop along and have a look (i doubt much more will have been done by the time i go, but still legs eh? um... great)

I did watch the Mazui subs version but I'm afraid I couldn't say whether it was any good or not. What qualifies as being 4channy?

I thought the episode was great and I can't wait for more. Frankly I'm surprised that the next episode is so soon. I thought they'd make us wait at least another year. :lol:

K-On! continues to amaze. Much like Azumanga, it's just so rediculously charming. :)

Watched gg-coalguys Haruhi S2 08 just now, was pretty entertaining. And brick shitting at all the

time travel

stuff flying around.

Basically, they're airing S1 and S2 together, in chronological order, it's just that some S2 episodes take place during the events of S1 and vice versa, so it's a mix. The next new episode isn't for another month, I think. I downloaded all the new releases of the S2 1-7 because they're in HD anyway, and I wanted to revisit them.

The bit I remember is at the end where Kyon and Koizumi are talking. Kyon says 'kono yarou' which means something like 'bastard!' in a playful manner, but it got translated as 'fag'. Which, I deem a bit 4chan-esque. Might check out Mazui then. :D

4chan has actually been internally debating this since coalgg's release... most people don't seem to like it.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the CoalGG release. Seems like mazui might be the way to go for it.
