Watched a video of the awful Battle Angel OVA as dubbed by manga entertainment this afternoon (found it at oxfam for £1). What a horific bastardisation of a great series.

Just watched the 1st ep of DBZ now called Dragonball Kai.

This group http://dbzr.co.cc/ is doing the subs, nice quality.

That is the best thing anyone has linked me to for years, I love you.

It's pretty close, all things considered. There's a lot of things changed, though.

But spider robots crushing buildings. FUCK YEAH.

Then the sequel came along and dumped any similarity to the manga whatsoever, choosing instead to indulge in John Woo's fucking dove fetish.

By having ROBOT. ASSASSIN. FUCKING. SPY. DOVES.

The man is AWESOME at ruining potential good things.

Finally finished Gundam 00 ;) As expected, it could have done with an extra episode imo. It annoys me when a series give you 5 minutes to see what happened weeks after the event (or in some, just don't bother concluding it at all!)

Now onto Gintama. 3 more episodes and I can put in on hold for a while. It's ridiculously hilarious. (pssttt if anyone fancies it, the wikipedia episode guide needs lots of summarys added!)

I finished it today as well, I liked Ribbon's gundam...that's about it though, it got a bit silly with the damage if you ask me :lol:

So I caught up on the manga Biomega.

Somehow a story involving talking bears, synthetic humans, a guy on a motorbike, a span of over a thousand years, chibi girls, Earth turning into a cylinder 48billion km long, invisible people, immortal teenage girls and other weird things made sense by the end. Or as much sense as I'm willing to put into figuring it all out. :unsure:

Author/Artist needs to do the designs for an RPG (preferably FF)

A Nihei RPG would be awesome. I'd love someone to do proper justice to either Biomega or Blame in anime form as well.

Need to catch up on Biomega myself. It was no good me trying to read it as the scans were released; it was bad enough trying to follow the plot as it was but forgetting the plot between releases would have made it worse.

I think it's one of the translators from gg. Something about him/her being the only one wanting to do Toradora from gg so he/she went his own way and made qq. Only reason I suggested them is Coalguys can be a bit funny with translation at times. Better than goddamn Chihiro though.

I just finished season 1 of Code Geass. I thought it was a self contained 25 episode series and didn't know it finished on a cliff hanger! It was getting so tense as well. I love series where its hard to say who the good guys are. I was rooting for everyone.

Does season 2 of Gundam 00 get better? I gave up after a few episodes but loved the 1st season. The 2nd just didnt grab me.

Man, you must really hate those anime that end abruptly with no epilogue at all, seems to happen to a lot of anime I watch anyway. I was pretty content with 00 since we did get a fairly long epilogue for a final episode - AND A MOVIE sequel, so I know i'll be getting more.

Anime and Manga. BOTH versions of Trigun for example (anime just ends without explanation, the manga goes on forever in comparison but doesn't tie up anything). Gundam was alright in that regard as it did give us an idea, but it feels like cheating or lazyness. "Oh, we can't be arsed to tie the ends up properly, heres what we wanted to show but couldn't be arsed to explain"

I just started School Rumble, then found I don't actually have dvd rips of all of the series, and Lovefilm doesnt have vol 4 or 5 (6 is out soon). And I can't find it on boxtorrents (because they dont host Funimation titles due to them being C+D happy).... Arse.

The new voice actors are a pain, and the shifted timeline is confusing (Hughes doesn't even live in a similar house, never mind Elicia having already been born before they meet him). I heartily approve of Yui for opening song though. :( Yui
