AWESOME. Yeah, looks like character designs by Sadamoto again. NO COMPLAINTS HERE

I only found out yesterday that he did the character design for .Hack//sign (I've never watched it).

He could at least finish the Evangelion manga before doing other projects :D

I kinda understood a bit of the story but I'll freely admit that my first comment of "What the hell is going on?!" still stands.

Avatar is weird, good idea for a story, interesting main charecter but dialogue and sub-plots are ripped straight from cartoon land. Trying to ignore that it's for kids (and western) but it really doesn't make it easy.

Just watched it myself and the Oasis tune isn't overly awful although I'll admit I was more trying to watch the OP animation than listen to the song. Story seems really interesting, the main characters are good, especially the guy who has a lot of humour in him and the animations rather nice as well. Love the ED video.

gg did the first episode "because it looked cute" but who knows if they'll continue. Desire have also subbed it but they're fairly rubbish with the quality of their subs. Frostii are scheduled to do it but they're not exactly winning awards for speed.

Wow I prefer Avatar to Bleach and the new Naruto - at least its story has a logical progression and less macho bullshit power battles.

(Don't think I just like shonen anime's because of this post - I believe there's enough room in this world both mindless entertainment and well thought out masterpieces.)

I watched the first episode and not only does it have a goth loli, but also, and I'm not joking, Galileo briefly wears a paedobear suit. Or at least I'm convinced it is far too similar to be a coincidence.
