Are they actually going to cut the filler out of DBZ?

Well it's going from 291 episodes to 100? I believe, so yes.

I'm guessing it'll be like this

1-25: Saiyan Saga

25-50: Nake/Frieza Saga

50-75: Android Saga

75-100: Buu Saga

WTF? This just looks weird. Cat Shit One

What. The. Fuck. Just when you think you've seen everything, a CG rabbit called "Packy" (that's getting changed in localisation) goes commando on a bunch of terrorist hares (were they hares? Couldn't tell), and to wrap it all off, they've called the show "Cat Shit One". What the fuck were they thinking? Still, looks awesome.

Anyway, I came here to show you this:

.

I love Cyber City OEDO, but it's nothing without the western localisation. Imagine Snatcher, only with more swearing - way more swearing, and in this context at least, it IS big and it IS clever. Seriously, unless you're one of those uptight anime nerds who routinely subscribes to the idea that Manga Entertainment ruined every anime they touched in the early 90s, you'll love this (in particular, the last line of dialogue - it's awesome funny).

My complete collection of Full Metal Panic has just arrived. Watched 90% at the uni's anime society years ago and fancied seing the whole thing myself.

JOY...when I find the time to watch it with everything else.

Now, is that the complete original series, the box by ADV which is just the first series, and Fumoffu,, or does that include The Second Raid (which afaik still isnt licensed over here)?

Something tells me that's never getting localised anywhere else in the world, ever. Also, Manga did fuck up quite a bit, but OEDO is one of the few times they got it so, so right. The DVD version that's out is a load of shit - mainly because the Manga soundtrack's missing, and the original Japanese composition's in its place.

Who would've thought we'd ever be wanting a dubbed show with a re-done soundtrack?

Is Bleach worth watching? I've been reading the manga but started very late into but enjoy the hatstand designs and violence and I think I'd like to see it in techicolour but I'm wary of filler, is there anything biblical like Naruto in there?

As Meh says, it does go to filler a few times, but in all honesty the filler is nowhere as near as bad as meh makes out (meh exagerates everything that isn't about SDF Macross). If it wasn't clear that it wasn't in the manga, you'd probably never notice the first set was filler without being told (the second major filler is more blatant as it occurs halfway through a story arc!). Studio Pierrot have improved a lot with regards to "filler" since the 90+ in a row eps during the second half of the orginal Naruto, for a start the filler is always a clear plot, not random event after random event like it was before

If its a deal breaker, you could always skip the filler, or watch it "in the background" while you do something else. It's worth noting that Bleach has just passed 210 episodes, so it might be wise to break it down into chunks

It's impossible to exaggerate with regards to Macross. It really is the greatest thing ever.

Whats your excuse for everything else in the world then? You'll get no disagreement from me about SDF, but most of the time your "opinion" of something is filled with hate ;)

But is it better than Twelve Kingdoms?

Edit: Side note;

is looking interesting. Something good for the Spring season at least.

They co-exist in a perfect universe, filled with unicorns and super dimensional fortresses staffed by Minmei clones.

First series, well, the complete collection so it says (ADV, 7 disc). At uni years ago a friend burned me a copy of all of fumoffu and the first few eps of Second raid. Second raid looked more violent and serious.

Yup, the "complete collection" has changed meaning a few times since ADV released the first series. The reverse covers on the original dvds were far, far better then the rubbish CG covers that were the default option

Second raid looked more violent and serious.

A fair assessment
