So, 00...

Not really going anywhere, and as there are only 6 eps left I'd kinda have expected something... It's going to go the gay 'the song saves the world' route:-/

Although they tend to be completely irrelevant to what actually happens, the end of ep preview kind of hints at something;

Setsuna is becoming an Innovator perhaps?

Setsuna is becoming a newtype. Newtype Intuition? Check. Newtype mindhax? Check. I bet next episode he gets the Newtype flash and everything.

Also, I nearly laughed myself into oblivion when I witnessed gg's troll OP. "gg finally pulling their weight" indeed...

Don't remind me :D

I started watching Angel Heart a few years ago when the subs were more regular and that got me interested in its predecessor, which I've managed to acquire too. I also decided to wait for the series to be completely subbed before finishing off the rest of it so I'm stalled somewhere around episode 21.

Finally started watching this today as through a series of coincidences, it's the only series I could make any real progress with (aside from FMA, which I've only 3 discs left of).

It's really good so far (after 6 eps), but I'm confused as to why it's supposed to be alternate universe. Tsukasa Hojo suggested "similaritys are coincidental", but Umibozu, Saeko and Ryu are pretty much the same as they ever were. The only difference is the relationship between Ryo and Kaori, but it is hardly far fetched, it was just a minor point occasionally alluded to in City hunter (as far as the anime went at least). However it's been aaagggeessss since I watched City Hunter, so I may be wrong. Oh, and Akira Kamiya ftw

Also, because I've been neglecting my anime duties, I've gone through 22episodes today alone. I've really no idea when the last time I managed that was! Certainly not in the last 9months if in the last several years

00 This week. Bricks were shat.

I did NOT see Setuna Innovator Seiei coming. Also, a great death toll this week! And I always find Graham/Setsuna interaction and fights highly entertaining, especially the way they always end up with "HHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

Also, evil haro is a HAL.

I was wondering when they would finally start knocking some of those people off.

Has Louise just shot her load as a fighter? Will she be useless to them now? Maybe she can go to a nice institution and Saji can have a cry and a wank over her. Oh, that was another show.

How brilliant is the Susanowo? I love spindly samurai mechs piloted by psychotic weeaboos.

Wait, did I just read that last sentence correctly? An evil... oh, fukken sold.

It's worth watching the entire series up to this episode just for Evil Haro.

Hurry up and end gundam. I want to see the ridiculous ending you're going to give us to cheerfully wrap everything up. That's all your good for now anyway:

Hey guys, a song which was played once in the middle of a fucking desert is now singlehandedly changing everyone's minds and stuff and teaching them not to be cunts but we won't show you any visual proof of that. Oh and the woman that sung it is still doing fuck all.

Just need to wait for Ali Al Sachez to make a return for one episode then get instantly killed in one go.

Still it's fun enough in its awfulness.

Edit: Actually, prediction for part of the ending;

Setsuna and Ribbons face down.

"You can't be an innovator! That's not possible!"

"No you're right, I'm not"

Cue sparkly lights

"Ore wa gundam!"

Setsuna changes into a man sized gundam.

Ribbons explodes from the awesome.

Setsuna flies off and sets up a mini gundam production facility with Marina if you know what I mean.

Saji dies of herpes alone.

I wouldn't call Gundam 00 awful, sure the entire

song warming people's hearts or whatever is ridiculous and utopian but i'll just suspend my disbelief to allow for a nice ending. Maybe her song is infused with GN HEALTH SOUNDWAVES.

I would like to see

Marina go all 'EVERYONE... LISTEN TO MY SONG!', then just as she starts to sing, Ali cleaves her in half.

No no no,

Have her suddenly appear with Sheryl Nome style clothing, and start rocking out with Klaus on the guitar and Shirin on the drums and we get a Macross all out space final battle between CB (with fed backup) and A-Laws (With other side fed backup). Some space station drops, mass ship and mobile suit fighting, Double Bro Raiser engaging in an epic final battle in the middle of it with Graham while Tieria fights Ali, Lockon fights Ribbons and Doublellujah and Soma fight and KILL Andrei.

Something like that.

Finally finished all of The Twelve Kingdoms, taken me over a month but generally pretty good.

Though I'm a bit puzzled as it doesn't seem to really end with the last episode being one of those daft recap ones of whats been going on. There was no satisfactory finish to the tale of the Tyki (no idea how to spell it) with the black hair as it seemed to suggest he would bring about the end of the 12 Kingdoms but after 10 episodes of following him around he loses his memory (though we never find out why), his chosen King vanishes and the kid ends up in the human world....What?

Besides that though it was a damn good tale.

But is that it? Or is there meant to be another series?

Someone said earlier that the book series goes further, but it is unlikely the anime will continue further now.

I think they pretty much stopped because there was a lack of new material. The author had lost interest in writing anything else in the same universe, and the anime producers didn't want to do a 'Fullmetal Alchemist', and pull horseshit out of their asses to fill in the rest.

Much to the lament of Lorfarius.

Source?

Well that's the rumour and the new commercial for it seems to show the anime only character who replaces Yoki's role in the series.

Cast list shows an Isaac who is apparently the one replacing Yoki.

Romi Paku as Edward Elric

Rie Kugimiya as Alphonse Elric

Megumi Takamoto as Winry Rockbell

Shinichiro Miki as Roy Mustang

Fumiko Orikasa as Riza Hawkeye

Kenji Utsumi as Alex Louis Armstrong

Keiji Fujiwara as Maes Hughes

Yuji Ueda as Jean Havoc

Kenji Hamada as Vato Falman

Kaori Nazuka as Maria Ross

Hidekatsu Shibata as King Bradley

Kenta Miyake as Scar

Kikuko Inoue as Lust

Tetsu Shiratori as Gluttony

Minami Takayama as Envy

Hiroyuki Yoshino as Kimblee

Kouichi Yamadera as Isaac

To be honest it's not the very worst news as at least the story should have the same major plotpoints, just said in a different way.

Going from the wikipedia article, the lasst 3 or so novels seem to finish the series and some publisher folk are bringing them out over here, albeit at the pace of about one a year. There's a fan translation effort going for the book immediately after the last major arc seen in the series but as per the norm for these things, it goes at a snail's pace.

Had a quick look through the voice cast for FMA. Not majorly impressed by changing Mustang's VA to Lockon Stratos but Hughes, Armstrong and King Bradley all also remain the same.
