Anime

There's one good thing in the movie: the opening credits.

Seriously, the FMA anime is piss. It's like some horrible fanfic by non-fans. It's total fucking garbage, and not remotely how it's meant to be after the half-way point.

You people make me sick.

I bet Meh remains in a hyperactive fit inside his bed when trying to get to sleep at night, knowing that someone, somewhere on the internet is enjoying the FMA anime.

By the way, does anyone know any good anime that begins with the letters:

I, J, Q, U, V, X, Y

I have nightmares of people smiling as they lap up such horseshit as Wrath being renamed Pride, and Sloth BEING THEIR FUCKING MOTHER, WHO ISN'T SLOTH-LIKE IN THE BASTARD LEAST. SLOTH IS A BIG, HULKING CUNT DIGGING HIS WAY UNDER THE CITY, AND NOT A FUCKING WATER MONSTER WOMAN.

I - Initial D

J - Juuni Kokuki (AKA the just mentioned The Twelve Kingdoms)

U - Urusei Yatsura. Does Ulysses 31 count? It is on MAL.

X - xxxHolic (maybe) or Xam'd

Y - Some say Yugo the Negotiator is very good, though it didn't really push my buttons in the way I hoped. Maybe Yukikaze, but I felt the same about that as Yugo, I suppose.

DBZ remake coming spring 2009

http://daizex.com/

* The DBZ TV series is receiving an extensive "refresh" for Japanese television airing

* This is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of DBZ

* While based on the original animation production, it is being updated with new technology

* This includes extending the frames for formatting on an HD 16:9 display (note: not cropping the image)

* The original Japanese cast is re-grouping to re-voice the show (where available, and unfortunately not including those that have passed on, such as Hirotaka Suzuoki [Tenshinhan])

* Sound effects are being updated

* Unlike the general show, the OPs and EDs are being completely redone

* While not in the above announcement, other reports are noting that the number of episodes is being reduced from 291 to approximately 100

* This begins 05 April 2009 @ 9 am

Just watched the last episode of Xam'd.

Personally I thought it was a massive waste of potential. Timeskip second half? AGHHHH, bad end.

I know what you mean.

I think if they had the oppurtunity to go into as much glorious detail with the story for 50 eps like Eureka SeveN then perhaps that last section wouldn't have felt so short and rushed. Ending itself was a bit hrmm. She didn't die so you can't feel sad but she's not around so you can't feel happy about that either. Maybe some kind of cheesy half minute bit at the end showing the doors opening would have worked I don't know.

Still those light explosions in the end were just as brilliant as they were in E7.

Well, that's easily done; just slice out all of the 'five minutes until Namek EXPLODES!... in 45 hours" crap.

Also the Garlic Jr. shit can be chopped out, and a whole load of other stuff.

If it wasn't for Macross I'd just write you off as a lost soul. To hate as much as you do but obviously know enough about DBZ to make such a post? It doesn't add up! Seen you in a whole new light. Or Darkness to be more accurate

Can someone recommend an anime for a new viewer? I want something that is good and mainstream nothing too obscure, also I like science fiction. So far I have seen Akira and Vampire Hunter D. So, what else should I watch?

Oh and what are the best anime sites on the web? I'm looking for the rllmuk or NeoGaf equivalent in anime.

That's your answer to everything.

"What Should I wear?" Bible Black

"What should I eat?" Bible Black

"How does one create a faster than light spacecraft that ignore time dilation effects?" Bible Black

"What's a good hentai series?" Bible Black

Mangahelpers.com is great.

For anime, try Planetes or Cowboy Bebop. They're both sci-fi, and both good. Check Ghost in a Shell out too, the movie. The series is a bit, erm, boring.

Would also recommend you check out the Ghibli movies.
