Gunbuster 2 is fucking terrible.

I'm starting to think you hate everything except Macross, but watch it anyway just to complain how shit it is, when in fact many of the faults you claim other series like Gundam have are shared by Macross.

Anyway, Diebuster was a great sequel to Gunbuster because the art/animation was god tier, the music was beyond awesome (especially the remixed Gunbuster Machine March), the combat and space fights were beyond awesome, and it had a motherfucking

planet battering ram and a double Hyper Inazuma Kick to finish things off with. And the ending tying in with Gunbuster's end was just great.

Woo! Just started it now, one episode in. They don't seem to like gingers at the start.

Took me a few episodes to get into at the start. I kept getting annoyed by the constant whining from Sugimoto, Youko and the guy. Rewatched it last week though. Still a great series. :)

This and the Crest/Banner series ride at an all time high spot for wanting a new season, just behind Mushishi.

Well I'm watching it now (I have NO idea where I got to when I watched it as it was airing, probably halfway) and so far it's still good. But then, I don't have the "manga complex" Meh does with this. Meh is hardly the easiest person to please

It's fairly close to the manga for half of the run (though obviously set up to go in its own direction), but after that it completely and utterly loses the plot in spectacular fashion. Seriously, it makes NO FUCKING SENSE.

The manga is honestly in a completely different league for imagination, characterisation, and plot.
