I found out yesterday though that the script is going to be by Lawrence Kasdan, the Empire Strikes Back bloke - so I'm waiting with cautious optimism.

Someone told me that in the 90s, a parody group made a really good Robotech sendup - it was an editing mashup of Gundam: Char's Counterattack, Gundam F91 and something totally unrelated, like Dragonball.

That being said, they could have just put on Gundam F91 - considering what a train-wreck of editing that is.

Also, I see Hyakko supposedly finishes on christmas eve, has anyone released 9-12 yet? I've watched the first 3 eps of Mayu-Genjo, but they haven't released anything past 8 yet.

I remember watching the trailer for Stealth and thinking "Zomg! Live action Macross Plus!"... Then I saw the film and turned it off in favour of Macross Plus after half an hour. Speaking of Macross Plus, I'm in a shit mood... I think I'll watch that now to cheer me up a bit.

the overpoweredness of 00. Could be some quite nice teleport fights if they get a decent enemy suit going. More boring Louise(now renamed Flay Allstar mkII) and Saji bullshit. Would like to see more being done by the other gundams rather than flying around going "pew pew".

Finally got around to watching the proper Macross, having seen Robotech before. The ending makes a bit more sense, what with Robotech

suddenly revealing and almost as quickly destroying SDF-2, all completely unseen offscreen for absolutely no reason other than to jump right to the unseen SDF-3 for no reason. What?

The 00 Raizer isn't really overpowered. Sure it's powerful, if not the MOST powerful, but it's not "hax" yet. Remember that we only saw it in action during Transam mode, which can only be sustained for 5 minutes, and after that the battle was over. Also, things always seem "overpowered" when they're first used. I say you hold your judgement on it for a few episodes. It only got 10 units, not the 50 in one Seed Destiny or "lol I killed your entire army" Geass R2 levels.

Episode 12 was great all round, even if I did want to punch Saji on my monitor until he realised he was being a selfish wanker. Also, i'd like to see the now batshit insane Louise vs batshit insane Nena.
