At the moment I'm watching Michiko and Hatchin and am enjoying it thoroughly, really like the whole Latin American feel about it.

Also after catching up with Xam'd I'm enjoying it a lot more, though it seems to have slowed right the way down again now. Episode 14 was super epic so hopefully things will pick back up again soon.

I got Mononoke yesterday hearing good words of it but I haven't got round to watching any of it yet. I also hear Casshern Sins is one of the better shows on at the moment but I've only watched the first two episodes which I found to be a bit average - though I like the retro-y look of the characters I was a bit tired of seeing another protagonist suffering from amnesia. Does anyone know if it gets any better? Should I stick with it?

At the moment it's continuing with the "Casshern meets people and gets sad" idea but they are slowly progressing with the story. I'm quite enjoying it though; the artwork is really well done and some of the stories have proved to be really interesting. Give it until ep 5 or so I reckon. Up till whatever episode Sophia's in.

The whole thing is bleak as fuck though. I don't mean to imply it is bad.

It's not the bleakness that hits the wrong note for me, more the fact that Casshern isn't really doing anything to help himself other than wallowing in self-pity. I mean, at the end of each episode you keep expecting to hear this theme before the credits hit. At least he has some kind of purpose now.

Edit: Also, since it's near the end of the year, anyone have any best/worst series picks for the past year? I could make up some kind of list if needed...

Seriously man, if you're any sort of artist and haven't seen all of Miyazaki's films you're doing yourself a disservice. Get that shit in your eyes.

So, this weeks Gundam 00 eh?

I thought it was great, I was getting worried for a while when they were losing the battle for quite a while (still are?)

But that scene after the credits......

This is all that needs to be seen/said.

As soon as Louise's captain showed her that picture of his wife, I knew he was going to die. Also apparently GN particles make you a Newtype.

Argh! I remember that. Watched the first two episodes of it and felt my brain collapse. Very Kaiba-y headtrippy. Keep meaning to go back to it and give it a proper shot. I seem to recall Zappster maybe said it was an offshoot or sequel from something?

G00 11:

Time for nakeds in space!!!! I groaned painfully at the Saji/Louise ending. Also, Anew seems to sound remarkabley surprised about lots of things considering she's an Innovator. Bit odd. Either that or she's an amazing actor.

What is it with you and hardcore hentai involving tentacles? Is that why you mark down so many series; because they lack thobsessive sexual manic appendages violating the characters? :)

Dude, wtf - I watch Asagi for the story.

Sick bastard.
