Meh
Plus's movie is pretty much just how the director wanted it in the first place, though. DYRL is absolutely fucking SPUNK-TASTIC.

Meh
Macross pisses all over Gundam. Stupid faggy characters with zero animation and the same bloody story over and over.

Meh
J-pop nancy cunts? Pfft, at least they smile. Gundam characters are all TWATS. KIRA YAMATO THE PROSECUTION RESTS The only things in Gundam that smile are the fucking Haros.

Kyouma
I finished SDF and DYRL Macross last night. Both superb. Now to watch Zero, Plus, Seven. I like Macross and Gundam from what i've seen of both of them, why can't we all just get along?
Meh
Watch Flashback 2012, too. And we're not allowed to get along. It goes against the wishes of the universe.
Capwn
Never really liked anime. Akira was ok as was spirited away, nothing special though. First of the North Star was awful as well as many other films. Didn't even like any of the Ghost In the Shell films. Anyway recently was hearing quite a bit about 'Grave of the fireflies'. Watched it and wow, first anime film I've seen that entertained me from start to finish. Anyone able to suggest other similar films?
imp
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - it's not downbeat at all though.
Mr.Jeff
I'd second the suggestion of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Need to get round to watching GotF myself. Rather pitifully I got bored about 20 minutes into it and the disc being corrupted didn't help. Anyway, aside from that and much to JohnC's dismay, it's winter list time! Sequels everywhere but some of them are awesome so it's okay. A few new series to keep an eye on too like the adaptation of the korean manga Kuro Kami. Thoughts and mutterings? Only 4 of the list so far I won't be giving a try which says lot for my taste.
Dandy_Sephy
Slayers is the only one that jumps out at me. Strange that for a Dec/Jan/Feb list there are no Dec shows...
Dandy_Sephy
I've been watching the first half of Buso Renkin this week, which is by Nobuhiro Watsuki (creator of Rurouni kenshin). Unsurprisingly there are a few in-jokes - theres a sword called "Samurai X"* and and at one point an injured character is bandaged up like Shishio Makoto, which made me chuckle due to the slight randomness of the visual gag and the way it was done As for the show, it's quite decent, although unsurprisingly it's not up to Kenshin's standards *Not a translation gag, it's written in english on the sword and referred to by that name
Mr.Jeff
I really liked Busuou Renkin. Maybe it's down to the fact it has every shounen cliche in it ever but does them so over the top that they're good or maybe down to the fact that it's actually a shounen with an end but I found it a great deal of fun. The interaction between Kazuki and Tokkiko is awesome as well. Plus, the OP is amaaaaazingly catchy.
Kyouma
I really need to watch the Kenshin OVA, finish the manga, and watch Busou Renkin... In regards to the winter season, season 2 of Druaga, Birdy, Shikabane Hime i'll watch. Also, i'm interested in the new Afro Samurai, Z Mazinger, Slayers and Ippo. Mr.Jeff
That's the one. Took me a while to get used to it due to the sheer "fabulousness" of the villain being a guy in a leotard with a butterly outfit and the way everything is so stereotypical of shounens but it just became a great deal of fun. JohnC
Didn't realise there was more Birdy to come. Some more sequels to watch too. Never saw the original Mazinger, but it sounds like fun. I'll give this new one a look. I think I heard something about Viper's Creed being a hard sci-fi show.

Dandy_Sephy
Can you narrow it down a bit? genre etc? I find it hard to list stuff without some clue to narrow it down (as oppossed to others who can reel of a list of marmite titles from 2 genres )
