Gundam 00 continues to be stupidly good. I know it's only the second episode of the new series, but it feels like the first twenty-five episodes were just a set-up for a straight six months of FUCK YEAH, GUNDAMU

00 Gundam looks ridiculous. I think Setsuna may have stolen Kira's Godhax!

Polished off Geass R2 over the last couple of days. Went back to read the last few spoilers and I agree that

he isn't dead and probably got the immortality which saved him.

It was quite amazing watching it almost in two continuous parts. All sorts of allegiances changing all over the place.

I can see the GN drive synchronisation being a handy way to reign in the 00 Gundam's ludicrous power. As in 'Oh shit, the drives aren't syncing, it's only functioning at half capacity', etc.

Also FUCKING RIBBONS

And just watch everything.

yeah, I've not seen DYRL but a movie version is never going to be a match for the full thing.

Righto. I did hear the original SDF had a lot of "QUALITY" animation, though.

I found it amusing how, even with the new drive, Exia v2 still had some almost trouble with that last unit. Although I guess that's down to it not being prepared and such but still.

Seeing Ribbons do a small wee in fear was quite satisfactory though. I hope to god they don't go the route of Saji and Louise like in Destiny with Shin and Stellar; "omg y u on there side join me i luv u" "no u they r bad lol"

the entire medium was pratically based on reusing things - It's inherent in the format, especially in weekly action shows. Also it was made in the early 80s, I doubt the budgets were amazing

heck, I'm watching Haruhi and theres quality drops all over the place.

The budget's pretty damn impressive compared to modern-day stuff like, say, Gundam SEED. There's very little re-used in comparison.

It wasn't that bad at all, and the music was actually really, very good - so much so they reused a lot of it in Macross 7.

The Macross itself was such a faggot in Macross II, though, with it falling apart like a sack of shit. At least, that's how I remember it. It's been about 7 years...

But yeah, it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.

But still gay.

I don't watch Anime (or anything) at anywhere near the rate of most here, but I'm just here to pipe up that Mobile Suit Gundam continues to really impress me. I didn't expect it to be so serious, or touch on so many issues about war and the toll it takes on everyone.

Also, the theme song stuck in my head so much I bought an old vinyl album of the soundtrack :)

I've been furiously sailing the seas for the past couple of weeks, and I have queued up Zeta Gundam, Gundam 0080, and After War Gundam X. I also started grabbing the HD version of Gundam 00, and on checking the playback I realised I started getting it last year but my old PC wouldn't play it so I gave up.

I've got 3 eps of Haruhi left, and while it's certainly enjoyable, I don't think any of it is down to the title character. In fact I'd say that Haruhi herself is a bit of a let down, and the events don't really support the premise suggested in the opening episode. Liked the Phoenix Wright gag though. Kyon on the other hand is genius, and his running commentary and attitude is what makes the show.

But then I'm 2 years late to the party and I'm probably not making too many bold claims....

On a semi related note, I see they are bundling a Haruhi fraulien revoltech with the "DX" edition of the wii game
