Is it subbed yet? Or are you getting that from the RAW?

See below:

My guess is he's getting the ending from 4-chan's Geass Sunday which mercifully ends this week. No doubt it'll be Gundam next week instead.

I watched SW episode one, but decided against watching the rest.

Bastards! Always one step ahead of me with their goddamn references! I knew should have gone with the "They're just gay for each other line". It's original and everything!

Yeah, you should be ashamed

I just wanted to point out the word wasn't only used by american otakus... whoopsie, I wasn't thinking when I typed.

I was still

moved by Nunnally's breakdown when she found out the truth. Her VA was amazing there.

Yeah, shame it

didn't show her anywhere in the epilogue though - she was the one I was most interested to see!

So, what does everyone think of those theories that Lelouch is alive - HE IS R.R./R2/Man driving wagon - as a sly nod to Spice & Wolf?

I'm skeptical personally. However, if they wanted to do a third season school comedy spinoff, I would quite happily accept that as a way to get Lulu back from the dead.

Just finished watching Appleseed today. Must say I really quite enjoyed it. I do love the Japanese way of telling a story: twee and clichéd but with some enough insinuation to make you think of sub-plots and back stories. That's how I see it anyway.

It looks absolutely incredible IMO. The CG works really well if you ask me. Someone suggested in another thread that the CG version of the film might be a controversial choice. Can I ask why?

I've yarred Macross+, Nausicaa and Akira (for old time's sake). I also bought the complete Robotech boxed set as it has the Macross saga in there. What should I be looking into next?

Yeah,

I thought that too, but it works better with him being dead. Not exactly a surprise ending, but glad they killed him off.

It did, she was the one being pushed along by 'Zero' meeting Ogi?

Yeah, Geass was OK, about what I expected. I fucking raged that

Ogi didn't die

though.

What do you have against him?!

Yeah,

I thought that too, but it works better with him being dead. Not exactly a surprise ending, but glad they killed him off.

Yeah,

I think he deserved to die if he has indeed kicked the bucket. Dunno how keen I am on his martyrdom though, I mean, it was really obvious the series was heading this way for the past four or five episodes, but I can't help but think that it doesn't really suit Lulu's personality to go out that way, since he always played to win without hurting himself. He didn't even leave a solid base of power or constitution ensuring a legitimate and welcomed peace would last.

I'm guessing its gurren lagann

Guessing? You haven't seen it? And I've responded to your posts and everything?

Oh man, I need to take a shower, I just feel wrong now.

EDIT: xib, it's a very fun series. If you buy into it a little bit you'll wonder how the series manages to continually best itself in terms of scale and sheer awesomeness.

Same, and I just raged even further at the fact that NO-ONE died except for Lelouch. AND OUGI BECAME THE PRIME MINISTER AND LIVED A HAPPY LIFE. GOD DAMN.

Pardon my ignorance. Who's that?

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (Gurren Lagann or TTGL/GL for short). The most fun i've ever had watching anime, ever.

I could spend ages writing why I love it so much, but that'd take precious reading time while you could set about getting the first episode.

If anyone is interested in the DVDs, there's a 45% discount on offer here:

edit: DANDY HASN'T WATCHED GL?! WTF MAN!

having watched the last few minutes of Geass....

I suspect he isn't dead at all. I THINK he may have gotten C.C's code or whatever that Charles was also after to make him immortal. It may also explain the whole memory bleed into the Nunnally.... which was rather odd at the time. Also C.C's tone at the end suggested she was possibly speaking to the Guy controlling the horses....
