Hmm, only watched 4 episodes and a movie this last week, compared to 64 the week before...... I know I watch much less when working the day shift, but thats ridiculous. I'm off work this week so I'll either watch loads, or I'll watch about the same because I'll be doing other things (last week off I had I watched about 10eps of FMP and that was it...)

Finished Maison Ikkoku and what a great series with a lovely ending. Ranma 1/2 didn't really have an ending at all so it was nice to see this be so fully developed and start to gradually put everything into place before the last episode. I will admit there were times were you just want to slap Godai/Kyoko but you never dislike them. The only character I would say I wasn't that keen on was Yagami, never really disliked her or anything but I just wan't that keen on her storyline. I started to dislike Mitaka towards the end a bit though it was mostly only for a few episodes and he started to be a bit more likeable again after that. I did love Mr Inchinose/Akemi/Yotsuya, what a bunch of fucking pissheads who torment poor Godai all the way throughout :) Hopefully I'll be able to get a hold of Urusei Yatsura sometime, though it may be a while and it's far too expensive to buy (at the minute anyway). Out of Rumiko Takahashis series so far I prefer Ranma 1/2 for how funny/batshit insane it is but Maison Ikkokus definitely got the most heart.

No idea what to start on now, I've got Monster to watch which I heard is supposed to be very good, One Piece, Samurai 7 and others I can't remember offhand.

Meh, not really. It was ok, but the whole of season 2 has been heading in this ridiculous direction anyway. I think the main problem with the series; other than being rewritten on the fly for a family friendly timeslot, is that it's just not as clever as the first season, where much of the enjoyment to be had was in the inventive death note-like ways in which Lelouch would exercise his powers. There's just none of that now, really, although I suppose this episode had one of those moments, but it just didn't feel all that special.

Remember when Eva got near the end of the series and started pulling metaphysical garbage out of nowhere? Geass is now like that but 3rd rate and ridiculous. Even a similar kind of joined world vs making the best out of real world type theme

.

Looking forward to Gundam 00 now to see how they can mess things up with that. ^_^

I entirely agree with the

NGE comparison, I was actually thinking it as the episode progressed myself.

Absolutely crazy stuff, but I've always had an unlimited capacity to suspend disbelief so I love it nevertheless.

, and faces his guilt for popping a boner when Shirley was

dying.

Also, the order of black knights become little more than a series of coloured lights, who talk to Kallen in a darkened (black background) board room. Good times ahead.

In all honesty I looked over my shoulder.

Have no idea what the finale will be like though, all sorts of crazy if it continues as it has been.

There's lots out there! Soul Eater has been getting better as it goes on, Naruto Shippuden has gone back to canon storyline (FUCKING FINALLY JESUS) and I recently got myself some HD rips of Dennou Coil and have been thoroughly enjoying that!

huzzah some confirmation of naruto's status. I'm still waiting for bleach to do the same so I can watch the first Hueco Mundo arc. Someone tell these Manga-ka to hurry up :(

My viewing is back on course, 34eps today :wub: Ok, so 26 of them were 12mins long (finished off Galaxy Angel 3), but thats not the point :lol: I'm working on watching as many eps that i've already downloaded and then going to dvds before I download much more. All my downloads are complete, and I've still got 150+eps on hd.

See, I read ahead when theres filler. Naruto has about a years worth of manga ahead. Bleach is roughly a month or two ahead of where the anime is? They're not done with the current storyline by far!

Rather than finish one of of my backlog, I ended up downloading a series called 2x2 Shinobuden. Wonderfully random and featuring Norio Wakamoto(Geass's Emperor) doing comedy which just works so well. Gotta love stupid humour series.

A years worth of manga is bugger all though, the anime will get through that in no time - even with the dragging it out. I'd hope bleach is further then that, the filler arc has been running for a few months already. I'm not gagging to watch the rest, I'll catch up when it's worth doing.

Bleach is dead good at splicing a shit-tonne of filler into the proper story, isn't it? I watched and read the Arancar-or-whatever-they're-called story, and my god, the amount of utter shit they pile in there is staggering.

Orihime saying goodbye to Ichigo? A few pages in the manga, an entire FUCKING EPISODE in the anime. Dazzling. Then there's the lolwutness of when they get to Hueco Mundo and suddenly a SANDSTORM picks them up. Fucking awesome. And a BASEMENT in Hueco Mundo suddenly appears in the anime for them to spend 15 minutes walking through, utterly pointlessly. And before that Sand-Hollow-Bloke returned, which I lolled at and skipped, then they all fall through the floor and find some long-lost shinigami or some shit, which had me skipping about 5 episodes just to get to the point they were fucking standing at in the manga one page ago.

I got as far as Ichigo fighting some shit hollow bloke in a corridor, then realized I was watching Dragonball Z 2 and switched off.

Aye, the current Soul Eater arc eps 18-?? is full of awesome fights. Hooray!

Not watched it but I've read a fair ammount of it. First section is a sort of Daily Life section and is fairly boring stuff. The arc after that, the Vongola Rings, is moderately enjoyable, on par with most shounen nonsense (everyone coincindetily getting a one on one fight with their ideal opponent etc). The current arc had some good ideas but is let down by going on for fucking ever jesus christ why won't you stop for the love of god please stop in a rather Bleach-esque manner.

So, uh, basically if you have nothing else to do do, go for it.

Thank you for that recommendation, watched ep 1 and 2 and it seems great. A lot of stuff going on about nothing :)
