Just a quick query - what anime is this desktop from?

I'm a big Initial D fan as some others on the board (such as Meh) know very well and though this looks like an Initial D promotional art piece, I don't recognise the characters. I thought it might be from Wangan Midnight Heat, but I thought that was entirely set in Tokyo and that isn't Tokyo in the background (at least I don't think it is).

Anyone have any ideas?

That Kurenai series ending wasn't quite what I expected, but still good I suppose. Though still ambiguous as to what will happen in their future. It's amazing how fucked up that family are though.

And Benika's response to that dirty cunt

"Do you know why I'm in a bad mood?"

"Because it's forbidden to park in the Inner Sanctuary?"

:D

Ah man, I've watched NO anime for about 12-14 days. It's staggering really as I've been watching 25-60eps a week since january, and this is the first time I'vve gone more then a day or two in that time without watching anything. 90% of it is due to MGS4 :D

InuYasha's manga ends this week, after 53 volumes. Sunrise have started a new series of the anime despite the original ending a few years ago.

From what appears in the 6 chapters of the manga translated so far,

it seems to be just following Shinkurou as he goes through his different jobs for both Benika and his Glasses friend. It also seems to develop into a bit more of harem between the two schoolgirls and Murasaki as well. :D She's seen popping up around a bit generally acting like a normal child of a distinguished family.

That's the manga though and no doubt the light novels go about the story a bit different.

Neither are Anime but you folks may know; HMV have the Initial D movie for £3, is it worth a punt? Also, what's the Death Note live action like? This one:

Have you seen either of the Battle Royale movies? Do you remember how the main character, Shuya Nanahara can't act? Well, it turns out he still can't act when he's playing Light in Death Note. It might be worth a watch if you're interested in a very slightly different take on the story, but I can't really recommend it if you're not already a fan of the series willing to watch a bad film for the sake of giving this same advice to someone who asks your question in the future.

Death Note LA is crap, the only good asian dramas are the melodramatic/romantic/romcom ones.

and G.T.O

Actually screw that, Shomuni was ace too and fits into none of those. Plenty of other good ones. I really need to rewatch summer snow now I think about it...

The japanese Blu-Ray for FMP:Second raid is up for pre order on cd-japan. A whopping $250 for four discs! No idea if it has english subs, but as it has enlish audio(!) I'm guessing it will. But seeing as you can buy the dvd box for £30 or so, I can't see many takers for the import blu-rays (which require a Region A player anyway)
