Summer list with explanations for anyone who cares. The only description really missing is Koihime Musou which from what I can work out is a re-imagining of Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

But really, except for the Scrumble OVA, the summer looks barren.. time to catch up on old series methinks. Either that or watch The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi for the millionth time. :(

Magicalgirl auctions on ebay. No they don't have Luffy, otherwise I'd have had it :( It's was in it's original box for 6 years so I'm not expecting them to be readily available.

Hooray for more slayers, but Lina's not the main character? Defeats the point somewhat if you ask me...

One-off samurai movie that got subbed recently. Story's fairly simple but it has some fantastically well done fight scenes.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was brilliant. I was raging so hard

in that brief period at the end when it looked like he was gone for good without confessing or saying anything conclusive, glad he hugged her at the end.

I just finished watching this and is it supposed to be an homage to Kenshin? I kept thinking that it's pretty much only the scar on his face that's different!

(btw the title shown on boxtorrents was 'Sword of the Stranger' if anyone has trouble finding it)

Has Code Geass stopped for a while or something? I was looking foward to it but its not there at all.

I've been watching episode 10 of wangan midnight, its not initial d but its improved as the series has gone on, I felt proper empathy for the guy in the skyline who's wrecked his life/marriage and spent it all on his car.

Im up to episode 5, pretty good so far. Is it true that the series wont be subbed after episode 11? i know raw episodes are available up to 18.

I`ve had the macross plus boxed set of the film and 1-4 ova gathering dust for years. Just wondering if anyone can tell me which is best to watch first as i`m new to the series .Or do i need to have seen the older stuff?

Best leave Robotech untouched till you have seen all the macross.

Are my eyes deceiving me or are they actually making a space adventure cobra series? please, please, please tell me they're giving the old movie some lovin.

You don't have to watch the other macross series to enjoy Macross Plus though. I didn't and I still enjoyed it. :D 11 years later and I still find myself humming one of the songs from it.

It is. Although I'm not sure if it's totally new or a remake. I haven't been following it much just marked it as one to watch. I still remember watching the old movie years ago :D

You might also be interested to know that there's already an old series of Cobra. I have all the episodes somewhere by ILA.

Watch it. NOW. It's technically a side-story, set a while after the original Macross. It helps a little if you're a fan, but was obviously made so that anyone at all could just dive right in. They all seem like that, tbh.

Plus, it's got one of the finest soundtracks of all time. Yoko Kanno at her damned best.

Keroro Gunsou. Even though it's even more of a kids show then most shonen series, It's a really big guilty pleasure for me, it's great! One of the funniest things I've watched, which is no easy task when you consider it's competing with things like Excel Saga, Fumoffu and Urusei Yatsura. The gags to other shows are especially great , like the Urusei yatsura reference (Oni means demon, but the Oni in one ep are dressed like the oni race in urusei yatsura - Lum style leopard print clothes and yellow horns) and the Evangelion references (the seele "sound only" conferences have been done a couple of times, and one ep has

a "giant-rei" wanting to cause "march impact" and spouting some of rei's lines from End of Eva. It's not even a parody!

Actually it's a lot like One Piece in some of it's humour, which can only be a good thing
