It just struck me now that it is a little odd that I look forward to new episodes of Kaiba so much despite, IIRC, every episode so far being somewhat sad. And now that the overall story is becoming clear, that doesn't exactly seem like a barrel of laughs either. But still, ^_^ Already half way through the series now though.

If you want to make things even clearer, you may wish to rewatch episode 1 again. I did this last night and there's so many little things that suddenly make sense.

The OP is still :P though. Looking forward to it's official release along with its soundtrack.

It's Death Note with robots!

EDIT: Well, its premise.

Not really. It's a bit shit.

I never watched Code Geass because I hate CLAMPS character designs :)

Clamp stuff suits some shows.

My god, not this one.

What?! Why?! Who told/convinced you to do that? I remember advising someone to watch the series on the precondition that they simply stopped watching at a certain stage (can't remember exactly what I specified).

Yo.

Like their own series. The designs in Geass just made me think about X and how much better it was then Geass

You liked X? I've never met anyone that liked X! I couldn't stand the damn thing. There seemed to be too much story for a movie but too much ridiculous character development filling episodes in the series before the sudden "oh, this is the answer" ending.

Still, better than Popotan. Or Paradise Kiss.

I'm referring to the Tv series, but yeah. The movie was an exercise in pointlessness, as it came long before the manga had got anywhere, which was less of an issue for the tv show. And you know my feelings about Geass, so let's not start an argument about which is better :(

As I always have trouble deciding between what to watch next, I want to catch up on all my long runnings shows before doing too smaller shows. This weekend is Shin Lupin III weekend, where I watch it until I run out of episodes (in a couple of hours then). When One Piece finishes downloading I'll watch that until Water7 starts (eps207-226, 2 arcs), at which point I'll have to go elsewhere as Kaizoku still have 20eps of the arc left to do :) IIRC Water7 marks the switch to HD for One Piece. Is it worth the extra filesize (I've got a 1080p tv)? I've always found the kaizoku video quality to be great

Paradise Kiss is better than Death Note. I really like it though. :)

I've got no problems with the idea of it. I just don't like the characters involved. Pretty much disagree with everything in your spoiler tag too except the revenge storyline which is basically the Uchihas all over again. That's the way it goes I guess...

edit: and with ep 7 they delve into Miharu's past a bit more and my opinion of him has changed accordingly. I guess with that, I'll give Yoite the benefit of the doubt too..

After having watched the newest ep, I'll admit I might have been a bit too harsh with a couple of my assesments. Looks like some of the characters do actually have some depth after all which makes things a bit better.

60eps and two specials watched this week, most of which has been since the early hours on saturday and exhausting my current supply of Shin Lupin and Urusei yatsura. I usually aim for 26 eps across a whole week *collapses* It's good to actually be watching more then I'm downloading for a change, but until One Piece finishes downloading I'm going to have trouble deciding how to procede. I have all of the original FMP ripped to hd and TSR has almost downloaded, but I'm waiting on Fumoffu from Love Film so I can watch the entire franchise back to back. I've got 25eps of Keroro Gunsou to watch, but the subs are only halfway through the aired eps (114eps subbed out of 220+) so theres no rush. That just leaves me a few ova's and movies.

Why on earth am I complaining about running out of things to hand? Aside from the fact I took on too much at once after rediscovering my passion for Anime, it's good to get it under control again, especially as I've got a batch of dvdr's I'd like to rewatch + continue from old attempts (SDF Macross, GTO, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma all spring to mind).

Although even with that lot I'm never going to catch up to Mr Jeff  myanimelist claims you watched 148episodes last week. Did you actually watch them all or were some of those updates from incorrect/missing data?

I wouldn't say you were being that harsh. If anything I was probably harsher on Yoite and Miharu. One thing I forgot to mention because it completely slipped my mind was that I do like and appreciate Miharu's playful side. Much lulz was had due to that, as they sometimes say.

For me it was just interesting to see some slightly different takes. For example it's usually the loud, brash/annoying kids that are the naive and idealistic ones who want to change the world through the power of love or some other such nonsense. I thought it was quite interesting for it to be the older figure of the teacher, who in a lot of shows is the experienced, battle-scarred veteran who has had those same ideals and that naivety stamped out of him through whatever he's experienced. People like Kakashi immediately pop to mind here.

I hadn't realised it was quite that many episodes in total! But no, the figures are right. I really did watch all that this week. I've been aiming for roughly a series a day to try and clear up some of my backlog and I'm somehow managing. I tend to use 5 second skip on bits of episodes sometimes because it's too slow with it's storyline or subs. Even at this rate, my backlog will last me till August.

Edit: I see what you mean now Zapp. I guess I was just thrown by it's divergence of common stereotypes with the naive person not being the main lead. Miharu's devil-side is brilliant though. :D

I'm feeling slightly disappointed by Nabari at the moment, while it's never bad, I thought the first couple of episodes promised so much more. Basically I was really into the idea of a slightly more intelligent ninja show with fights that actually look like how ninjas would fight - lots of quick brutal movements rather than people in brightly coloured clothes performing brightly coloured attacks. I like the fact that the world has been quite interestingly set up now, but I'd really like a bit more action. Miharu's devilish side is brilliant though. At this point I'd even quite like a training arc just to see Miharu get some ninja skills so he isn't a friggin' professional hostage though.

Slightly disappointed by Toshokan Sensou 6 too. Dunno why, maybe I'm in a hyper critical mood today.

Mr Jeff, don't take this the wrong way, but are you working? I could never manage that many eps a week (it's not like I have a social life  ), probably not even when I'm off work for a week next month :P

Yeah not working at the moment which helps/doesn't help depending how you look at it. :)

Has Code Geass stopped for a while or something? I was looking foward to it but its not there at all.

I've been watching episode 10 of wangan midnight, its not initial d but its improved as the series has gone on, I felt proper empathy for the guy in the skyline who's wrecked his life/marriage and spent it all on his car.

Yeah, Geass missed a Sunday, the 9th episode comes out on Sunday the 8th of June.

GOOD CHRIST

^_^ That sums up my first reaction as well. Took me another rewatch and various browsing of some kaiba threads to work out some the details that popped up in the middle. Edit: Unless you're talking about the thing that happened at the end.

I think it's also possibly a double episode too.
