EDIT: Oh - I've watched the first three episodes of Mnemosyne - I like it. It's pretty cool, except the OP & ED - It's Death Note all over again...

I've been downloading it, but I think I'll wait until the last two are out before watching it. A month feels a bit long to wait between episodes.

You never finished watching Lucky Star? The last couple of episodes are good...

Yeah. I think it was that the releases of the last few episodes had been delayed for a while and by the time they did come out I just kept putting them off to watch the newer stuff. It'll be one of the first shows I finish off on monday night ^_^ when I finally finish for the summer (barring any resits :P ).

Least you've still got half or Aria's 2nd series, the OVA and the final series to chill you out after your exams too.

Is myanimelist similar to anidb.net?

They're fairly close. Anidb I'd say is more of an informational site for when shows are coming out, who's subbing them, what they're about and alll the various details with a listing service attached that's rather unwieldy. MAL is primarily a listing site that makes it incredibly easy to keep track of what you're watching/reading much better than Anidb but I'd say that it doesn't do the details very well like Anidb.

Mal for listing, Anidb for information, ANN for news and voice listings. :o

Just finished Geas 06 (Amusing considering 07 comes out today). I thought it was quite entertaining. It does make me wonder

how much Lelouch plans out these operations, I mean, was he just using all the pieces at his disposal to get him into the same room as Nunally? Did he anticipate the back-up for the enemy? I guess his persuasive powers, which royally owned Rolo who had a gun to his head, were no use against his own blind, crippled, sister.

I was actually wondering how redundant the Guren was going to become, seems like it gets all of Rakshata's love though. Souped up and ready for the new season it seems.

See, this is why I have a 750gb drive attached to the network :( My anime folder is 105gb (including dvd isos), and I delete things as I finish with them, so thats just the stuff I have to watch. It's all in one place (aside from stuff still downloading and recently completed downloads) so I know exactly what I have and don't have. And thanks to MAL I no longer lose all track of where I am if I accidentally delete the wrong folder :o (seriously before MAL that happened at least 3 times)

I could fill your 750gb drive with my Manga. Burn most stuff to DVDs once I've watched it, and buy good stuff as it hits decent prices..

Done my list with the better series I've seen:

My oh my. Geass was

emo.

Never expected that from the show... still, next week looks interesting!

I haven't seen the episode in question (and so probably shouldn't have read the spoiler, kinda did it by accident) but I think the emo-ness was probably predicted quite early when the question of

'Are you trying to defeat Britannia or help Nunally' came up partway into the first season. Lelouch was convinced it was the same goal, and said so to C.C. but it's quite clearly become quite separated now. So, which goal is he really following now? I mean, Japanese independence was never more than a means to his end was it, really.

Yeah, you're right, but you'll understand what I meant when you watch it. :o

It was fairly obvious from seeing the preview last week. :o Still at least

it seems to have lasted only for one episode. I must admit, I spent a large ammount of the start of the ep skipping the emo like with the carriage scene ("get out of my train cause I want to be alone" /geass) then the karen+gay scene and to top it off, the climax with the Return of the Jedi rememberance scene. Still some nice action in the end although they Knights must really suck if they get found that easily. Be interesting to see next week and how they get past the ep 21 syndrome they had from last series with the special region stuff.

Still, I have the next Baccano special to watch which will pick me up. :(

I could fill your 750gb drive with my Manga.

I really hope you mean Anime here, because theres no way in hell anyone would have several million pages of manga (over 3mil if we assume 40mb per volume). I was mentioning my current backlog, not how much I'd permanently archived to disc. I used to do that years ago, and it's completely pointless. You'll only ever rewatch a small portion of those archives*, and anything you do want to watch again is easily obtainable within days (if that).

*I should know, I had 500 dvd-r backups of retail discs (not rips or fansubs) at one point. 30% of that I had little intention of actually watching, and about 50% I'd watched already.

I just wasn't expecting the emo to last nearly all the episode! I found it weird how Lulu completely broke down and made those guys dance and do pushups. I thought he was a bit more composed than that, it was like Death Note where light finally breaks down - I was just disappointed in him!

I liked the fact that they had to stretch the old 4:3 image in the nostalgia scenes so Lelouch looked like a little chub-chub though.

Yup, chair-computer interface error. Tis anime. Probably got about 20gigs of Manga.

I dunno. I could see it, and in fact I have. I know a few people who've got that much manga. I'm not into my manga that much but I've got about upwards of 25GBs somewhere and that's just a portion of the stuff I've looked into. You'd have to be pretty crazy (and I'm bordering on that myself). Certainly the people I know that have that much, have their problems.

Well Macross certainly redeemed itself with episode 7; that was pretty damn fun. I did lol when

the Quarter changed into a mech though. Reminded me a bit of TTGL near the end where they start changing everything into mechs. :(

I loved that bit as well, all it needed was "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!" to make it better. Still, it was to be expected that the ship would transform, it's a Macross series and there hasn't been a single mention of the original giant robot yet.

That red Valkyrie-esque mech was immense.

Great episode.

The bit near the end where we see the guy floating his mech/plane, I started thinking of Macross Plus withe difference's between Isamu and Gaul(?)'s plane/mechs. :(

You weren't the only one.
