Just watched the first two eps of Nijuu Mensou no Musume, but while enjoyable, I was a little ill at ease in the back of my mind.

Girl who reads detective book goes to sleep, wakes up and adventures start where plans always come together just in time and nobody really gets hurt. It makes me think...maybe...well, I don't even want to say it...

Say it ain't so!

I'm really enjoying Nabari no Ou (o/ imp).

Its not mega exceptional in any way, its just got a good feeling to it, very cool.

Anyone watched Crystal Blaze yet? thought it might be this seasons Darker than Black.

Its a sci-fi mystery detective type show, private investigator guy has a brown coat and a revolver (smokes a lot because he is a badass), also 3 side kicks, they're protecting some woman with amnesia from a shadowy megacorp or something. Didn't hold my attention as you can see :o 6/10 will watch some more episodes.

So it is... the amazon page is confusing - it says it's out now but also that it's released in August 2008... weird. I have mind game, will watch soon!

The Death Note Live action films are pretty awful... well, the first one is at any rate, I've not had the courage to watch the second one yet. Although I would like to see how they changed things from the manga.

I downloaded Evangelion again and have started to watch the series again. 15 minutes into the episode Shinji started to piss me off as per normal. I kept wanting to shout out Grow so fucking balls boy.

that link is interesting but I remain unconvinced. For starters the post hospital scene is more about someone else then suggested in the theory. Also making minor and major changes to scenes and events is to be expected, both for simplicity in summerising the plot but also expanding things at the same time. For example the directors cuts of 21-24 added stuff that was in End of ( for example kaworu sits on a statue shaped like a EVA series - maimed in a way it was in the movie! As for the line near the end,its the only real reason to support that theory, and its not enough. The lcl can be explained (we know the second impact caused the sea to look like blood). I'm calling artistic license by Studio Khara

But yeah... :( I liked the bit about

copies always killing the originals. Gave it a bit of a blade runner edge!

This week's Kaiba was really good, I'm getting quite into it now. :)

Really quite bleak though, I hope it lightens up a bit!

It seems to almost have a different theme each week. First one was introduction, second one was a head trip and the third one was depression. Somehow though, the style really seems to fit the theme. I just can't see all the stuff with the memories and the random killing of people working as well in a "normal" style.

Episode 5 of Macross frontier can only be described with one word, SHIT, too much gabbing no shooting.

Why the hell cant the male leads actually not be scared of women for a fricking change? Having an emotionally stunted male lead got boring quickly and they have been doing it in almost every anime since the 1970's.

I'm tearing through the list I posted a few pages back. 20eps of Urusei Yatsura, 12 eps of Genshiken1, and 35eps of Naruto (finishing the non filler) in a week isnt too shabby. I've dumped Haruhi off for the moment as I may as well rent the dvds that start coming out soon. Now I'm watching one of 234,986 Lupin movies/specials - Fuma conspiracy - while I decide what to watch next. I'm pretty sure this is ripped from a remastered dvd, it looks too good for a 21yr old ova

And I love Suzaku - fucking deft move!

Oh and sephy: Obviously I won't be able to comment on them until I get the DVDs myself, but the afk Haruhi subs are uncommonly excellent.

I found myself LOLing hard at the sight of giant farmers with cow-hippo things. I don't think I should have found it that funny, but I did.
