Kaiji has just finished and the subbers have released a torrent with all the episodes. For all you heathens who haven't heard of the best anime of 2007-08, I invite you to visit The Triad's website and start downloading.

Damn straight, I followed it from episode 13 or so, and it was brilliant. Best anime of 07/08 though? I have to say I enjoyed GL more though.

If the Death Note anime was anything like the manga, then it's not worthy of licking GL's feet.

I agree mostly, but I still liked Death Note, even if the second part wasn't "as good" as the first. May I ask what this has to do with Kaiji though, or are you just referring to 07/08 anime?

Okay, I bought the complete Samurai 7 UK set for £20 off ebay.

Also picked up Azmanga Daioh and Burst Angel in Amazon's anime sale.

Pinched all 37 episodes of Death Note,(if you don't like Death Note, you've given up on life itself so fuck off), off this internet thing. Also did this with Black Lagoon,(both seasons), and Elfen Lied. Beyond The Clouds is currently winging it's way to me.

So, LOTS of viewing to be had there.

Gah, mislabeling bastards. I was just downloading RahXephon and decided to have a look at the opening after the first couple of episodes were down. Turns out it's dubbed rather than the Japanese with subs it is described as. At least I didn't wait until it was all down before discovering.

Are you sure you've not downloaded the dual audio version? They default to the 'system' language, and sometimes the subs/options are hidden in a 'filters' menu not the 'subs' menus..

First rebuild of Evangelion DVD is out tommorow in Japan isn't it?

The Raw's now out so it's a wait for subs again.

In an amusing continuation, images of the preview for episode 5 of Geass have been leaked. They don't seem to be having luck with this video streaming site that they're using. :wub:

Well, I'd rather they did a few funny shows as a warm up than stretch out the funny as they did with the second term.

yeah, you're right, ni gakki wasn't too good (well, compared to the first season anyway) since nothing actually happened in terms of storyline. Might be a 13 episode OVA though :)

Has anyone tried the AonE-Gekkostate-Menclave subs for Macross frontier?

Their sub quality is probably very good but I seem to recall a comparison picture of the video compared with (I think) Gattai's showed the video was slightly poorer quality. Not highly noticeable that I remember.

Well, Macross Frontier isn't actually airing in HD, it's just an upscale by the station, so the video quality comparisons are a bit moot. It is getting a Blu-Ray release though, which will be proper HD quality.
