It's not a pile of shite, unless you hate Code Geass. I've only watched the RAW, so my understanding of what happened is probably 1/10. I think V.V. may have saved Suzaku/wiped Lelouche's memory out. It doesn't directly show what happens after last season's last moments, but there is a flashback to what happened in that scene after the shooting.

The plot is the additional bit. It's all about laughing at the ludicrous fan-service and the fact

he pretty much gets raped by the main lead in the first episode. Plus I seem to remember there were rumours the two VA's for the guy and the girl may be having it off with each other in real life so that makes me laugh a bit too.

Side note, first ep of Geass has reportedly been subbed by gg. Usual source for it, first page of tosho.

Just watched Geass R2 Turn 1. Pretty awesome episode, but there are still so many questions! I knew it was going to be like this!

Although there was more fanservice than I expected!

Nice to see it in HD and widescreen though! :D

Just watched the Soul Eater first episode RAW.

Apparently they're going to broadcast it twice a week, the first version being censored and shown at an earlier time, and the second being uncut and broadcast later.

I thought it was entertaining. Nice animation, very interesting background art.

Of course I had no idea what the fuck was going on. <_<

FFS, making that stupid 1/144 Gundam D-Hell Custom took forever! I tried painting and building it at the same time, part by part, it looks better than the completely unpainted Epyon figure, but still a bit naff. <_<

I think they do but anyone that's watching the op anyway needs help since it's dire. A quick press of pgdown in mpc(next chapter) skips past it nicely in both versions anyway. It's always handy when subbers fix chapters properly to skip past the op/ed's.

Eclipse hardsub the karaoke but the rest of the episode is softsubbed, which is a common thing to do because generally all those flashy effects in the karaokes can bring most CPUs to their knees and so you'll get a really choppy playback experience and you won't be able to sing along!

That's how they've done their other shows but I haven't got Eclipse's geass release to check it myself. I can't imagine it'll be any different though

Just watched the first episode of Zettai Karen Children. I really wanted to like this since it's by the same people who did the (inconsistently) funny Hayate no Gotoku and it had Hirano Aya in it, but man, I really did not enjoy it at all. The art is really ugly; it looks like a show from ten years ago. ... or like H2O or School Days... hmm.... More importantly though, it's just not funny or entertaining. And the songs really really suck.

I hadn't even heard of this... and now I'm going to make sure I avoid it all the more.

Watched the first episode of Code Geass... interesting, I thought the ED was pretty weird though, and the OP certainly wasn't amazing.

So far it seems that Kurenai and Soul Eater are the ones to keep an eye on so far. Although there's still Kaiba, Real Drive and Golgo 13 left so you never know.

Haruhi: Is it really necessary to watch it in "chronological" order or can I happily watch it in broadcast order?

Watch it broadcast order if it's your first time watching it. Chronological order is nice but I think it works better when it's all messed up.

Broadcast all the way. I might re-watch this now I've finished the Nodame dorama.

Are any groups other than BSS going to be subbing Kurenai? Does anyone know what happened to Black-order? They seem to have been inactive for a long time now; I really want them to finish subbing Gurren Lagann so I can watch it again!

Two other groups by the names of Tweak and Nisemono seem to be going to sub them but I've heard of neither ebfore so no idea on quality. BSS seem good enough though. Starting to get twitchy waiting for other subbers to start the other new series.

As for Order, they seem to have vanished after releasing a D.Gray-man ep at the end of last year. :wub:

You and me both, I thought there'd be a whole bunch out by now, I've been checking toshokan every half an hour today and yesterday. I guess SOUL EATER will be fansubbed after the uncensored version is aired...
