Gundam 25:

I felt short changed. If the next series doesn't adequately wrap things up - in the process, bringing back a lot of characters who seemingly died - it'll be a complete bust for me. Still, it was entertaining all the same, I just hope they get their shit together for the next series.

Whatever that's going to be about.

Can someone recommend me something, I haven't watched any new anime for a few months and have been only following the weekly Bleach and Naruto releases. The last series I watched was 'School Days' which was f**king awesome. I'm after something similar really, or something like Love Hina or Ichigo 100% that isn't pure filth and has a good story. Any suggestions, I'm not really after anything that is fantasy based.

Something rom/com based? Mahoraba perhaps. Not outstanding but I found it fairly enjoyable. Or perhaps Ouran High School Host Club. Very very funny reverse harem series where the female lead isn't annoying for once!

Thought the fights were good, but the ending really made it seem a bit pointless. We're all pretty sure that the Meisers'll all return from the dead, and the world is pretty much in the same situation as it was before.

Except there's some homo and his clones in charge.

I'll take a look at Mahoraba, I've already seen Ouran which I quite enjoyed. I guess I can understand some of the hate for School Days, it does start off rather slowly, but I loved the ending.

been watching a few episodes of fumoffu since Sephy posted that youtube vid this afternoon. Man, it really doesn't get old.

I'm re-reading the manga now I have access to the last couple of volumes. If I could pick one show to experience again for the first time, it would be Fumoffu. While it doesn't get old, theres nothing like the first time you see the shoe locker incident, the bike sequence or the Art "field trip"

Are either Please Teacher or Aishiteruze Baby(Love You Baby) decent?

Onegai/please Teacher is entertaining enough, but it's not something I would be quick to recommend as there are far better shows to watch.

I thought you liked School Days? I thought I was the one who thought it was shit. Did I miss any hilarious YHBT subs today then?
I loved the way it started off as a normal high school romance type thing and then degenerated into horror.

I was laughing at how shit it was. And how much of a dickhead/idiot Makoto was.

Also at the "Nice Boat" ending.

From what I understood and what others said, I gathered it was unintentional and took itself way too seriously.

I dunno, maybe I enjoyed it more because I didn't take it very seriously at all and figured that the whole thing wasn't trying to make some mega serious statement. Sure, I get the whole 'sleeping around and playing with other people's feelings has consequences,' but they were hardly subtle in the way they made their point. Hence me not taking it too seriously.

I'll watch it because you like it so much Jack, it better live up to how much you talk about it or else

But first, I have to finish watching Black Lagoon and Karas. Which will take ages, since I can't seem to marathon anime anymore.

Short Changed? It was bloody rediculous!

First having the ending summed up in one episode and then having it not actually be an ending at all!

oh man this series has turned out so disappointing...what a waste...

Just had a look at a spring season preview and there seems to be a load of potentially good shows to be aired!

I get a feeling it's going to be like last spring when I was watching about 7-8 shows a week again.

In particular, Special A, SOUL EATER, Kaiba, Zettai Karen Children and Nabari no Ou seem like they could all be awesome! I'm excited now.

What? Macross Frontier episode 2 is out?! (Didn't read spoiler)

Not the subs but yes, the next episode was put up yesterday. Spring season started yesterday as well with the first batch of new series - Kure-nai, To Love ru, Allison to Lillia, Macross F and 'holic kei.

Geass airs on Sunday.

out of interest, just how many anime are broadcast in HD now? I know One Piece has been for quite some time, and apparently Naruto switches from 4:3 SD to 16:9 HD next week. On the subject of Naruto I gather this week's shippuden is the end of the 3rd arc, so I'll probably switch it to my "arc by arc" pile.

As for Code Geass, it's not as if I don't like it, but I find it hard to motivate myself to watch it. I watched episode 12 about two weeks ago and there has been no inclination to keep watching. I can't explain it.

I can't get into it either, it's more action-packed than I expected, but the action isn't interesting to watch at all, it's just 'Knightmare Frame fires grapple, hits other frame, instantly explodes'.
