Good Lord... I just saw the end of Code Geass... shame that

Kallen couldn't have just shot Suzaku in the back straightaway, silly girl. Also, considering Suzaku's superior military training it seems likely that he'll kill Lelouch, unless his emotional state really messes him up that badly.

Looking forward to the sequel, until then, time to catch up with Hayate no Gotoku and Clannad.

Both of them survive, Kallen gets turned into some britanians bitch. Go watch the trailer!

SUZAKKKKKKKKKKKKKU!

LELOUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Gundam 00 21:

Lockon had better not be dead. And definitely not by Patrick's hand, fuck's sake.

And from the preview:

Holy shit, Ali jacked one of the Thrones!

I hope Lockon isn't dead. It would be a pretty brave move to kill off one of the main characters so quickly. And I agree, if he has been killed by Patrick then I don't know whether to laugh or to cry!

I'm still holding out hope that he's alive - the message from Haro just said he was injured, but if that sub-Team Rocket skirtchasing fuck has offed the second coolest guy in this show, I'm sending a pipe bomb to Bandai head offices.

They didn't show him at all in the preview for the next episode, not even in a hospital bed or anything... I'm hoping that they're trying a pretty pish swerve in making us think he's dead by not having him in the preview, but showing that he's alive but seriously injured in the next episode. That way he can take the piss out of the ladyboy for being utterly useless when he recovers.

I watched the first disc of Love Hina this morning. It's 6 or 7 years* to the month since I first watched it, and it was my first proper anime. Good times :)

I just finished watching ep25.

I'd forgotten (or just not realised) just how much of the anime is essentially filler. Eps 1-6 are all story and character development. 7-13 are meaningless in the grand scheme of things (although 9 and 11 are good storys), 14 to 18 are mostly story and iirc were in the manga. 19+20 are again meaningless and 21-24 are great story. So in the 24ep run (25 is essentially an ova) only 11 or so (or 15-16 if you do include the mini arc at the beach) deal with the core premise above all else.

Now the reason I hold the series in the regard I do is mostly because of eps 1-7 and 21-24 (the end still tugs on my heart srings ^_^:) ) . It's just a shame looking back on it that as a whole it could have been so much more. Certainly the manga deals with so much more which is to be expected when a show runs its course before the manga is finished and takes a different approach, but from what i recall theres very little in the way of filler in the manga. I'm not really sure why they made such big changes to it for tv, or why there has been no true finale for the anime. Love Hina Again is by no means the end of the plot considering the final chapter of the manga

On a side note theres a couple of tracks from the ost I'm going to try to learn to play on guitar

I've still got the xmas + spring specials and Again to watch yet which I'll do at some point in the next week. Then I'll finish off the one piece arc I was watching before I deleted the wrong files ;)

Currently working my way through Gankutsou:The Count of Monte Cristo. My God it's blowing my socks off and I'm only upto episode 11! Fantastic series, so well animated and the script is brilliant. Loving every moment, I just hope it doesn't go shit towards the end :D In fact I haven't been this excited about an anime series since I first saw Berserk.

Someone name me an anime to watch!

I can't recall off the top of my head everything that you've watched, but here's some stuff which springs to mind as things you might have missed. The second batch can get a bit girly at times, so bear that in mind. Fruits Basket it awesome anyway though. Also I don't personally rate Full Moon much but it gets high ratings elsewhere so I figured I'd include it anyway.

Scrapped Princess?

Last Exile?

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora?

Nodame Cantabile?

Twelve Kingdoms?

Fruits Basket?

Full Moon Wo Sagashite?

Maria-sama Ga Miteru?

Onegai Teacher?

Onegai Twins?

I really wanna rewatch it, I cant find the bloody disc holder with it in!!!

Hayde is really beautiful.

I'm upto the bit where Villefort

(Prosecutors wife) has been discovered with the poison ring and her hubby has sentenced her to a life in a room with bars at the institute. When it first started I really didnt like the count but he grows on you. Now I can't wait to see him on screen to see what next he has up his sleeve. I love revenge stories.

Righto.

Kyou Kara Ma Ou

Allison to Lillia - No site synopsis so I'll give a run down; Combination of 2 managa series about a country that's been waging war for hundreds of years in a 1940's-esque world. First half looks at a couple trying to find a treasure that will stop the war, second half follows the results of their efforts from later on. By Kino's Journey writer.

Code Geass season 2 - Nothing needs to be said. Big robots, funky eye powers. General mayhem. Replaces Gundam 00 till Autumn.

Soul Eater Done by Bones (Eureka and Darker than Black) and to have 2 different versions, 1 of which will be more adult in nature.

Wagaya no Oinari-sama - Can't find a summary. Spice and Wolf type series with a fox-girl rather than a wolf seems to be the consensus.

Nijiyuume no Musume

Toshyokan Sensou - Think Farenheit 451

Real Dive - Think ghost in the Shell since it's by one of the blokes behind it. Plus, Production I.G so it'll look pimp with any luck.

Himitsu - No summary again so I'll swipe what someone typed on neogaf: "Near future shoujo forensics SF about technology that allows someone's mind to be scanned for memories even after their death, from the mangaka behind the awesomely deranged Moon Child"

Macross Frontier - No explanations. Robots and nyan nyan.

To Love Ru - The manga's enjoyable ecchi nonsense.

Masked Maid Guy

Special A

Junjo Romantica - Looks like a yaoi fest. Do not want.

Da Capo Second Season - Must be like the 4th series by now. Harem stuff I think.

Crystal Blaze - No idea so here's a pinched trailer blurb: ""In the near future...Lags Town is located in a corner of Asia symbolizing a negative side of false prosperity. A hard-boiled buddy story is staged in this town presenting spectacular gun-battles! Glass Maiden is a stylish and full-blown animation, and props and gadgets are depicted in meticulous detail whole through the story. Having gone through 5 years of preparation, this original story is finally about to unfold..."

Nabari no Ou

Vampire Knight

Uchi no Sanshimai - Not a clue.

Golgo 13 - Supposedly awesome.

Chi's Sweet Home

Kaiba - From the people that did Kemonozume.

Itazuka no Kiss

Neo Angelique - I don't know. I stole the link for it's prequel.

Blassreiter - No information aside from it containing big robots and futuristic racing.

Kurenai

Kyouran Kazoku Nikki - More gaf quote theft: "appears to be a black comedy based on a light novel about how in the distant past a monster destroyed everything and then claimed it's child would return 1,000 years ago. The cat girl above? The mother"

Monochrome Factor

xxxHOLiC Kei - More holic, no synopsis. Give it now you bastards.

Gyagu Manga Biyori 3

Tower of Druaga - Not a clue. Fantasy game to anime transfer it seems.

Amatsuki

Zettai Karen Children

Telepathy Shoujyo Ran

Series not included in picture:

Kanokon - The THIRD cat(fox really) girl series of the year. Still one more to come later in the year apparently.

And some kind of fansubbing list for stuff.

Speaking of which, Trigun movie next year. Although it'll probably be the year after before it it appears on torrents considering how long Eva's taking. ^_^

As if that wasn't random enough (well it was to me seing as the original show ran way back in 98!), Slayers is getting a new Tv series, presumably for 2 seasons. It's been 9 years since Try finished, and 6 years since the last movie. The first words to cross my mind were "Is it really worth it"?

Hell yes! Awesome series. Deserves some decent animation.

Well the ovas and movies had some. I enjoyed slayers, it just seems a unlikely series to bring back.

Well it's not going to be a follow on series but rather a brand new anime series so it's maybe just a revamp of a retro series.

Where did you get that from? I didn't think there was any info on it yet other than it was coming.

Cheers for the list Mr. Jeff. I'm glad Geass is going to be subbed by Menclave, they seem a pretty capable lot. ^_^

But... Where the hell is Haruhi Season 2? WHEEEEERE? I assumed it would be out around Tanabata...
