Nah I've been buying copies of series this way for about a year now and never had any problems. They always come in proper boxsets with decent hard pressed DVDs with all subtitles, dubbing etc etc

I think the point is that if you are going to get pirate copies, then the least you can do is not pay for them.

Code Geass is taking time to grow on me. After the third episode, I'm not hooked yet. Does it pick up soon?

Stick with it, I got bored after 8 episodes (there was a mid season break), but I stuck with it and I'm glad that I did.

Dattebayo suspend all releases until further notice. Now usually I'd take this to be Dattebayo's typical baiting of the many, many muppets out there and ignore it awaiting their announcing You have Been trolled (YHBT) update. However, going by the length and wording of that notice, I'm inclined to believe them for once.

Is anyone else actually subbing Shippuden/Bleach/Genshiken?

Well they've finished subbing Genshiken and the other subbers on it (the ones I watch) are only an episode behind. Not sure about Bleach and Naruto (there probably are one or two subbers on each, but I'm not sure if they're as consistent as DB) but I thought they weren't airing this week, so perhaps it's a joke regarding that. The length and wording doesn't bother me. You'd be surprised at the extent that some subbers go to for a laugh.

Edit: according to tokyotosho they actually released the last episode of Genshiken after that announcement was made...

Actually, looks like it's not on this week either. I know what you mean about subbers, but you can generally smell a Dattebayo troll a mile off. I don't like the idea of falling for one <_<

Well, their site only goes upto ep 12, which was released before Shippuden 40-41

Ep 12 is the last episode of Genshiken and going by when they uploaded the torrent to tokyotosho it was released after Naruto 40-41. This certainly matches with what I remember too and what it tells me in my file details which are generally downloaded on the day they're out. They put them at a week between the release of 40-41 and then the final Genshiken ep.

Personally I'll wait until a new Naruto/Bleach raw is out and if it's still unsubbed by them a week or two later, then I'll believe it.

Tokyotosho didn't get the torrent late. They usually put the torrent up on there as soon as they have it ready. Just to further prove that they couldn't possibly have released Genshiken 12 before Naruto 40-41. The raws for the final Genshiken episode started showing up the Tuesday after Naruto 40-41 was released, which is in line with the time that Genshiken aired. They released Genshiken 11 before 40-41 but not episode 12 which was released after the announcement.

edit: Weird. I could have sworn there was a post in between my last one. Just so people don't think I'm going crazy and talking to myself <_<

There was, I deleted it. On the Dattebayo's front page, the releases are in backwards order (usually they are in order of newest first. When I went into the tracker page, the true dates were revealed. It was a matter of a couple of hours between the announcement and the release of that ep - if the announcement isn't a troll, it was either a fuck up or it was already on the way out.

if it a troll, then the fuckers got me <_< But it is an issue they have stressed before without trolling.

Forgot to mention; for anyone with a desire for more Death Note, the special that was supposed to make an appearance during the summer has finally been released in a subbed format. No idea what it's about likes and I haven't gotten round to aqquiring it's 1.5 gig hd heaviness.

So someone else do it. :lol:

Aye, basilisk is worth a look, far worthier series out there mind you.

Just finished watching ep 4 of the huge Tales of Symphonia OAV. It's bloody fantastic, captures the spirit and drama of the game ENTIRELY.

Reccomended for fans of the game, or anyone who loves a good RPG storyline without the grinding.
