Talvalin
Thanks for calling me stupid Okay then. What didn't make sense about the first Patlabor film? Go on. As for Meh, your Mum's rubbish and Jin Roh is ace. At some stage I'll dig out my copy so I can rip the soundtrack CD that came with it (which I need to do for Metropolis as well, except that was a mini-CD and so won't play in my PowerBook. Arse). Jimmyzilla
I've still not watched Claymore 22 but I've just read some kinda spoilers for 23;WHY GOD WHY?! FUCKS SAKE WHY MUST YOU BRING RAKI BACK INTO THIS, THE MOST SUPERB PART OF THE ENTIRE SERIES IN MANGA FORM JUST TO HAVE BECOME AN ENTIRE TRAIN WRECK OF A SERIES?! Anyone watching, please do yourself a favour and hunt down the manga and see how it should be properly. On a seperate note, the latest manga chapter is out. Praying it's the last alternate story and next month moves back to the main arc. Raki didn't do much, was just around... btw where did the anime break off from the manga? I wanna see how it could have gone
Mr.Jeff
Start from volume 10 chapter 54. That's roughly just at the end of the first encounter with the 3 awakened beings in pieta.Very little changes at that particular chapter but from then onwards, the alterations start appearing. Sabreman
Yes, I guess Raki is the 'humanising' influence on Clare, but he's astonishingly annoying. Here's a good idea, Raki - turn up in the middle of a really intense and difficult fight to distract Clare with your presence.

Well, what I think is going to happen: Claire's about to fully awaken - Raki brings her back from the brink .
Dandy_Sephy
I wish Shippuden wouldn't keep taking a week off, it's getting annoying. I don't mean the show (it's ace), but more the air times
Kyouma
I wish Shippuden wouldn't keep taking a week off, it's getting annoying. I don't mean the show (it's ace), but more the air times The show's gotten fairly good again now. It got really bad for a few episodes, the highlight of shittiness being 24. For example: But then 26 had godlike animation from a good team, and 27 was pretty good. Next week is a double, so it's all good. And we get to see the Mangekyou and some Kyuubi action - finally! Dandy_Sephy
This is the problem with action orientated arcs, at some point they simply have to step down the animation so they don't go bankrupt halfway through a arc. Considering the quallity of the bulk of the arc, I'll happily accept 30 seconds of recycled frames for minor sequences so they can splurge on the bigger scenes. the same thing happened during the exam arc, and probably most non filler arcs. Hopefully we get a new opening theme next week. I've nothing against the existing one, but it's about time for a change. I was expecting a change at 26, but along came the shameless promotion of the Shippuden movie

And yea, i see what you're saying about the animation.
Blue Screen Error
Having finally now almost finished getting up to date with the Berserk Manga, its makes me sad to think of the anime series and how it ended. Balls to Evangelion getting remade again why oh why hasnt berserk!
Mr.Jeff
Because they'd never ever ever finish it? I mean, I still think the guy's only about halfway through the manga when you step back and really consider whats Gutts has accomplished and that's taken him 20 years already! Bibly
STILL haven't watched the latest Claymore, but I'll get round to it eventually. Episode 12 of Dennou was kind of amusing, cute, and a little saddening, but still with hope. I know it was seemingly unexplained how the boy managed to manafest Illegals by will, maybe they'll explain it later, but either way I enjoyed it . Vulgar Monkey
rrrrrrright.....I'd like some recommendations please. I wouldn't say I'm an anime n00b as such, I've seen a fair few, I just don't know much about them. So, err, stuff I've seen and liked: -Currently working through GiTS SAC & 2nd gig (hell, I'd like 2nd gig if only for the intro music, lol) -Saw Akira a few years ago on Sci-fi. Was alright.... -Saw some other thing they screened with lots of mechs and nasty insectoid bugs. Pratoganist was some guy who was in cryo for years, and some blonde soldier chick. (edit: blue gender, apparently. Hmm). -Saw Princess Mononoke (?) on film 4. Pretty good considering I don't usually go for the more extreme fantasy settings. -Saw bits of NGE a few years ago, but didn't get into it fully because of the overly long exposition bits. Might give it a crack later. -Ummm....I think I might have seen Perfect Blue as well. If it involved subs, a war, and mutant shark-people anyway.... -Cowboy Bebop. Win. If there's anything else, it doesn't spring to mind. So, ideas?

will2097
Has anyone seen a series called Devilman? Thoughts? Me. I saw it. The old 70s looking Devilman you talking about? I found it runs hot and cold and gets quite repetitive, I gave up when the Character La-la appeared. It's pretty shocking in places too, i remember the little boy constantly "pissing his pants" and the love struck teacher, who fancied his student. She was also Devilmans love interest? The thing I remember most is the damn title tune that stuck in my head: "Al le wa Deberu, deberu maaaaan", and such classic phrases as "Debil Cutter!" [Devil Cutter] "Debil Beeeam!" etc., The mistake I made was I watched the 1990s Devilman Anime, ages before, but it seems to have taken the whole 1970s series and compressed it into two pretty good movies. I then watched the 1970s series and didn't completely enjoy it and then watched the live action movie and was very disappointed/confused.
Gique
Has anyone seen a series called Devilman? Thoughts? the 2 devilman OAV's are rather good - the series is painfully dated. and overly long.
