Nope, you've probably got something badly configured.

I use the K-Lite FULL pack which sorts everything out, including installing media player classic. Find that it works better than VLC with subs that use fancy fonts and effects.

I'd recommend you remove whatever you've got, then install the latest K-Lite pack from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

Yeah, I was enjoying it probably more than it even deserved but the last couple of episodes were a massive let down and given the time left I can't see it ending well. The pacing is all wrong now in their attempts to wrap it up quickly, there's so much that seems to be missing, what's left is a bit of meaningless fluff.

Yep and its all the Raki stuff thats the fluff.

For those who havent read the manga I would now. The pieta battle flows a lot better minus all the made up "filler" stuff with Raki.

New Evangelion Manga:

New evangelion manga has started, officially called Evangelion Gakuen Mokushiroko it's a mix of shounen and school life, it's running on Azuka magazine, the same one as the Iron Maiden spin-off

In this alternate universe people slay angels using special weapons instead of giant robots

some known facts:

- The characters go to NERV high school

- Shinji lives with his teacher Misato, since his mother is dead and his father works abroad

- Rei and Kaworu are some kind of special Angel Hunters

- Rei has the Spear of Longinus as her angel slaying weapon

- One of the angels shown is just a guy with wings on his back, how original

Don't bother. Absolute horse manure. Chrono in particular. It does the wonderful thing where they tack on an anime-only ending etc. etc.

It's not a very good show regardless, though. Witch Hunter Robin... I couldn't get past the first episode of. Just seemed like a bunch of emo to me.

You watched one episode and decided the entire series was shit? WTF? Has anyone actually seen more than one episode of this and care to comment. The first episode of Gungrave was crap as well as several other series I can think of. You dont write them off after just one episode. eesh.

I watched a lot of Chrono, and that was plop. Witch Hunter has a decent anidb rating, mind, so maybe I was too quick to judge on that one.

Still, it's no GURRREEENNNNN LAGANNNNNNNNNN.

Witch Hunter Robin is a slowly paced X-Files/Buffy sort of programme. Without any of the humour.

i watched 'grave of the fireflies' tonight. it is amazing. One of the greatest, most emotional stories i've ever seen. It was so sad. :)

A really moving piece of animation that.

I just watched the latest Claymore... every time Raki reappears a little bit of me dies inside. I mean, really, I'm pretty sure there's a negative correlation between the amount of screentime Raki gets and the quality of episodes.

I have yet to watch the latest GL though, so there's always that to look forward to!

EDIT: Just watched it, so awesome, loving it! Although I wonder if we could have a straw poll,

Hands up those of you who feel sorry in any way for Rossiu?
