If anyone could send me a little PM in regards to where I can obtain Gurren-Lagann eng.subbed it'd be greatly appreciated. The only things I could find where Chinese subbed low-quality episodes in big packs of 8 episodes.

Note to self, watch ep. 37 carefully . I find Hayate's shameless lying quite amusing, but it does make me wonder about the morality of his actions... hooray for Hamster vs Dragon episode!

Claymore's finally getting to the good stuff now. The next few episodes promise to be amazing if they can pull it off properly.

There's 26 episodes if that's what you mean. I think I remember hearing that the series will cover roughly half of the entire claymore storyline. The manga's just a small bit ahead but it'll be awhile till they actually finishing due to only releasing a chapter a month. (It took 6 years to produce all the stuff for the series )

It'll be interesting to see what they do with the ending.

Wonder if they'll do a berserk and leave it open ended and hanging or try and tack some kind of ending on to it.

Not been watching this thread for a while, but I just finished watching Heat Guy J, and thought it was rather good. I'd recommend it, and why not at £8 for the complete series from Play?

started on monster this week - very intrigued to see where it goes.. it worries me it might veer off the precipice of "hmmm intriguing" into the canyon of "oh FUCK OFF!"

I've now watched the entirety of haruhi and can safely say it's the most overrated anime show in ages. It's well animated, but apart from that the story is horrendously drawn out.. it seemed like it was 8 episodes too long..

it seems the only draw is for easily excited fanboys with the tedious domination / forced dressing thing haruhi is always doing to mikuru..

"oh no! i've been bullied to dress as a nurse/maid/bunny girl etc".. then again this is from the same "genius" that did lucky star.. in fact i'm rather glad that the "appeal" of this kind of stuff goes over my head, but hey thats just me - I value some level of plot and content over cheap references to other games / shows, cliched nerd dressy up fetishes and schoolgirl wank fantasies aimed at introverted, forever doomed to be single men.

I've just watched the first episode of Bleach Season 1. Mental stuff. Liked the father/son bonding where the son arrives home late, so his dad kicks him in the face! So, what's the rest of the season like? Good? Bad?

Very up-and-down. Once it hits the filler, it's meant to be terrible, but there's some good stuff in the whole Soul Society thing... except for when it gets draawwwwwn out, and you see the same fucking streets again... and again...

If it's like Pani Poni before it then it should just be the same nonsensical stuff throughout various stages of the school year. Not that that's a bad thing mind. Have you tried reading the text in the opening credits as well? That's some bizarre stuff.

Higurashi ni kai 4:

Everytime I go to start an episode of this I get a sense of dread as I'm waiting for one of them to turn murderous. Looks like it might possibly Satoko this time. Although, interestingly enough, it seems those men in jumpsuits were actually real rather than the delusions I thought they were in the first series. I'm also starting to wonder more and more if this curse is related to some kind of "berserk" disease found in that shrine. The plot thickens! Need moar!

Yeah, I read it for the first time this week and found it quite funny! I thought it had changed from the previous weeks. Do you know if it's supposed to be in english or have a.f.k. edited out all the original japanese?

On a side note, The Haruhi Suzumiya live concert DVD came out yesterday and RAWs are already on Tokyo Toshokan.

...*cough* EDIT: Lucky Star 16 = full of win. I'm only about halfway through but already I'm creased up with laughter.

Admitedly it's just shoe-horning in a Haruhi parody but it's so well done. Wonder if Konata's va was able to switch between characters that fast or whether they recorded the lines seperately.

I've seen a video interview with her switching between voices on a chat show. Her real voice is actually weirder than her Haruhi voice. So squeaky. But yes, excellent episode.

I really really enjoyed Paprika btw. I didn't knwo what to expect but watched it based on the comments on here - what a wonderful wonderful film.

EDIT: Hirano Aya at first I thought she was putting on the voice.. well, if she is, she maintains it very well.

Suzaku's gone mad, Zero's gone mad, Orange-kun is 10 miles past the line of insanity, Karen's gone mad, Orihime clone that fancies Lelouch is off her rocker and Nina is a complete psycopathic lesbian sack of mad! AND THEN THEY LEAVE A BLOODY CLIFFHANGER LIKE THAT!!! That's miles worse than episode 23's one.

And now, we have to wait until October (possibly).

Obviously Karen will have shot someone, probably suzaku out of madness. Then she'll go weeping in a corner or something and Lelouch will go chat to that boy?! that's like C.C. Other than that, I have no idea what'll happen. I love how nobody uses Orange's real name anymore apart from Ogi's lover. "Oh, it's you Orange-kun"

Just watching that episode has tired me out. I got too excited and had to keep stopping and starting it. Took me 2 hours to watch it in the end.
