There's no guarantee those subbers will be releasing in a reasonable time frame anyway; I mean, look at Shinsen, they're still releasing Ergo Proxy and that finished months ago!

Yeah yeah, this is actually a new thing of mine.

I originally decided it as a measure to slow down my anime-watching, fearing a glut of anime with the new season 'n all. Making me wait a while longer for them to be released.

Now, at the rate of an ep. every one or two days, I seem to be eating through everything available :rolleyes: .

I'll leave 'em a little while longer, Romeo x Juliet should suffice whilst all my snail-pace subbers get back on track ;P.

In truth I AM easily pleased, so long as it's in English and not filled with too many obvious grammatical/spelling errors (I fear they may have mis-spelt Shakespeare, which is going to grate...)

Well it's your own choice but when me and imp are open-mouthed at the latest twists in sola or darker than black, don't start whining about your subbers. :(

The only people I've had a real issue with are Triad since they're the only people subbing Bokurano and it's taking them ages per episode. :rolleyes:

You should enjoy RomeoXJuliet. It's rather cheesy but it's an interesting take on the play.

Devil May Cry anime starting this month too...

Edit: Me getting you to switch subbers is probably me just wanting to have someone else to talk about the latest eps in some of the series since I only know a few people that are actually watching the new season and are able to construct a sentence beyond "lol, that was awesome" :(

Well if you wanted to do that wouldn't it be better to go to a more anime-centric forum? Animesuki has loads of people that keep up to date with the latest episodes and that discuss them beyond the "lol awesome" posts as you put it. Certainly would be easier and a lot less effort on your part. *shrugs*

So, being a tard, I stayed up until about 2am watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. It is fucking brilliant like Meh says - funny, dramatic, tense, beautiful. Best film I've seen in ages. I did notice a plot hole though:

How did Makoto's aunt know about time leaping, and why did she say that girls Makoto's age do it all the time? It doesn't get explained, unless her aunt is also from the future.

See, everyone should listen to Meh. I rarely say anything's good, but my god, when it is...

You and me both. I hate having to avoid threads on other forums devoted to certain anime because I'm behind :( . Apparently Sola's gotten really good (and it was looking pretty good where I got up to too).

Next episode of Dennou Coil is out! Big thanks to everyone on here who recommended it (all two or so people I think ^__^). First two episodes were charming, and I hope this third one won't disappoint!

DMC anime... that might be interesting.

Just watched it all, its not bad reminds of the Gungrave series. Its not re-doing any of the games storylines.... well in the first ep anyway.

Really? I had a look at animesuki a while back and a number of the threads had just degenerated into mindless arguements and name calling. I might have another look.

Plus, y'know, I like the rllmuk folk. Even meh with his ridiculously high standards. :)

I'm active on another forum or two, but Rllmuk's anime discussion (confined as it is to one thread, as opposed to having entire folders dedicated to the stuff) is the best I've encountered.

We all love Meh really, we know that whatever he recommends has passed the most stringent of standards!

After posting that I had thought why would he avoid animesuki and yeah that did pop into my mind. Not to mention the elitism that seems to run rampant throughout. Though there is some good discussion to be had there. Ah well I don't post much myself over there, usually just lurk... so I'm not exactly one to talk.

Watched the first 9 eps of Claymore, never realised that the

whole Teresa thing was a flashback

. Had to turn to wikipedia to explain it to me :-/

I picked up ghost in the shell and really enjoyed that too, but I couldn't find the other ones.

I'll go into town at the weekend, and then let you know what I thought.

Macross Plus is a must-have IMO. Great music, great characters, great animation and a good story.

I did and wasnt impressed. Seemed a bit boring to me and run of the mill. In fact the Movie and 4 episodes were one of the first Manga DVD's that I ever bought several years ago, shame I cant get rid as they are virtually worthless.

If any anime NEEDED a videogame adaption/game set in the same world, it's Dennou Coil.

Also, with regards to the claymore stuff,

yeah, it has gotten much better, I'll probably keep on watching until it starts getting filler-tastic.

re: becoming a claymore, I remember looking up the series on wikipedia a while ago and remember reading something about yoma blood infusion or ingestion. I think Clare ingested Teresa's blood, making her own blood a weaker concoction compared to the other claymores. As for the repulsive bodies... I just figured that their bodies were hideously scarred since they seem to get impaled and cut up a lot...

Well, it's scheduled for 26 episodes but I'd imagine it depends on how much manga there is/will be. They might round the story off at the end of the 26 episodes yet keep it going in the manga or they might finish it but leave it open for a second season. From the way it's looking, I'd say they'd manage it in one series.

So, sola 9

Well the fight between Aono and Matsuri was a tad short and a bit one-sided but nice and enjoyable. Also finally explained beardy man's past and reason for trying to kill yaka. Now we have a nice clear run-up to finish the main story in the remaining 4 episodes. ^_^

Nodame 19 on the other hand, was brilliant. Even this far into the series it still makes me grin and smile like a gimp. It's going to be so depressing when it finishes in 4 weeks :o
